Today marks the start of #StressAwarenessWeek. Knowing how to manage stress and anxiety is a difficult task for us all. Getting out in the National Park is one way in which you can relieve stress due to the multiple benefits it can provide.

Grey seals are pupping on the beaches of the #NNR. They are easily spooked which results in pups being abandoned, so please ensure you keep a minimum of 100 metres away from all seals and refer to on-site signage. ⁦@NE_Northumbria⁩ ⁦@LifeWader⁩ ⁦@LIFEprogramme

Big thanks to Ben from Tweed Foundation who joined us for a River Biodiversity session yesterday with Edenside Primary. Ben delivered amazing activities about fish and freshwater invertebrates. We also used binoculars to get a closer look at the birdlife of the Cobby🐟🦆

The iridescent greens and purples that give lapwing their sheen make them one of the most beautiful birds on our coast. Soon, we will be able to watch the daring and agile tumbling courtship displays and hear the iconic and eponymous "Peewit" calls signalling the start of spring. – at Byker, England
