Amazing job today by our 4th grade Battle of the Books readers. Thank you, Coach Hannah and Ms. G for an amazing job preparing these readers for their first competition! 😍📚🦅
Got to spend my morning playing with the @cricut at @OliverMSLibrary- customizing our water bottles. Always a good time visiting this wonderful library and spreading some #maker fun! 😁

I went nearly three months without finishing a book. In the past month, I’ve barreled through a couple dozen. I think it’s important to remember that you’re still a reader even if you go through a period of NOT reading — and it’s important to make sure kids know this, too.
My favorite #NYSCATE23 session so far was definitely @seanmarnold talking about storytelling. Loved the energy, enthusiasm, and the ideas. A perfect session to complement our work with @MrSchuReads beautiful book, The Gift of Story. Story is the foundation of what we do!

Now that #schoollibrarymonth is over, I'm sharing my thoughts on calling librarians "super heroes."
This may seem pedantic, but I think this type of language plays into expectations that educators, generally, and #librarians specifically, carry unreasonable loads w/o support.

🎉 Big news! Education, nonprofit, and technology leaders — including @codeorg — have come together to form TeachAI. Let’s safely and equitably empower educators everywhere to not just teach with AI but teach about it, too. teachai.org #TeachAI
Spending Friday afternoon with our 3D pens. To fix some stubborn clogs, I decided to take them apart and see if I could get to the source of the problem. If you ever wondered what they look like under the plastic, here you go! Pretty cool 🤓

Fourth Graders were able to celebrate National Poetry Month with some green screen fun. How would you get to school if you were one inch tall?

There’s no denying Giannis came up short, but this response to “failure” was fascinating.
