DigitalOcean has quietly ended its free hosting program for open source projects... just a month after donating $3 million to Omarchy Linux.
If they had millions to donate to one project, could they not have chosen to (continue to) support hundreds of open source projects?
And no, I am not blaming Omarchy here in anyway.

Finally...Ubuntu has redesigned its Wiki.
Not only does it look good, it is also well organized for anyone who wants Ubuntu related information.
One of the features that many people may miss is accessing the wiki via MCP.
Add the MCP server to your (local) AI setup and your agent gets more accurate information on Ubuntu when needed.

"Linux is not one of those anti-AI projects"
Linux creator Linus Torvalds has made this clear now. Linux kernel mailing list is often a place of heated debate and lately, it's been around accepting AI assisted contributions.
Torvalds said he was willing to “absolutely put my foot down as the top-level maintainer … Linux is not one of those anti-AI projects, and if somebody has issues with that they can do the open-source thing and fork it."
He thinks of AI as a tool, “just like other tools we use. And it’s clearly a useful one. It may not have been that ‘clearly’ even just a year ago, but it’s no longer in question today. Anybody who doubts that clearly hasn’t actually used it.”
Agree with "Mr. Linux" here?

One of the biggest cybersecurity embarrassments of 2026 just happened.
Sensitive credentials linked to the US Cybersecurity agency (CISA) were reportedly found sitting inside a PUBLIC GitHub repository.
The exposed data allegedly included:
• SSH keys
• Plaintext passwords
• Internal system credentials
• Access linked to CISA and DHS environments
And the worst part?
Some of it may have been publicly accessible since November 2025.
According to reports, the leak came from a contractor-managed GitHub repo that was improperly secured. In simple words: someone accidentally left the digital keys to critical systems lying around on the internet.
What does this mean for users?
There’s currently no evidence that citizen data was stolen.
But incidents like this increase risks of phishing, impersonation attacks, and future breaches.
It also shows how even top cybersecurity organizations can fail basic security hygiene.
The agency responsible for protecting US infrastructure got caught exposing its own credentials online.
Cybersecurity isn’t just about advanced AI threats anymore. Sometimes it’s still just… human stupidity.

You let Claude rewrite your entire codebase
And now something's broken
And you have no idea what it changed, why it changed it, or how to go back
There's no git log. no blame. no undo.
Just vibes and a prayer 🙏
This open source AI too, fixes this.
It's like git for AI agents.
Every tool call tracked, every line traced back to the prompt that wrote it, full rewind coming soon
