SHOULD ARSENAL CASH IN ON KAI HAVERTZ WHILE HE STILL HAS VALUE, OR KEEP HIM UNTIL HIS CONTRACT EXPIRES? 👀
Kai Havertz has just two years left on his Arsenal contract and is reportedly the second-highest-paid player at the club, behind only Bukayo Saka. 💰
With that kind of salary and his contract situation, Arsenal have an important decision to make.
Do they sell him now and reinvest the money in a different profile of striker, someone more explosive, mobile and comfortable carrying the ball, like Julian Álvarez?
Or do they keep Havertz and risk losing him for nothing when his contract runs down?
Personally, I think Arsenal should seriously consider cashing in while they still can.
What would you do? 🤔

📢 Thierry Henry on the #Arsenal vs Liverpool game this weekend:
"I never used to look at the league like that as a player. City didn’t win at Villa this season, and Arsenal did. Arsenal lost at Villa last year. You can also mention that we won at Brighton last year and didn’t this year.
“You can look at history and see that some teams struggle at certain grounds, like Tottenham at Chelsea until last weekend, but then you break the ice and it’s all good. Last year we lost at Anfield, Szoboszlai scored an outstanding free kick, so let’s see what happens this time."
🚨 Mikel Arteta says Arsenal have identified what has been missing in their previous visits to Anfield. The plan is clear, go there with conviction and purpose.
Liverpool could also welcome back Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Munoz, with both given a chance of featuring.
Arsenal know what awaits them. Time to show it.

🚨Arsenal's yellow third kit could be a good omen ahead of Sunday's trip to Anfield.
The Gunners have won all three games they've played in yellow this season, against Aston Villa, Sunderland and Nottingham Forest.
Interestingly, Arsenal are yet to win in their blue away kit, drawing against Bayern Munich before losing on penalties to Fleetwood.
It's football, not superstition, but I'll happily take another yellow-kit win at Anfield! 🤣

At a high school in Atlanta, Georgia, a mother is called in after her 16 year old daughter is accused of copying another student's answers during a final examination. The school is considering suspending her.
TEACHER: “Your daughter has a serious problem accepting responsibility.”
MOTHER: “She's never been accused of cheating before. What evidence do you have?”
TEACHER: “Her answers were almost identical to another student's, including several incorrect answers.”
MOTHER: “And you concluded she cheated?”
TEACHER: “What other explanation is there?”
MOTHER: “Perhaps you should ask her.”
TEACHER: “I did. She accused me of giving her another student's grade.”
The mother turned towards her daughter.
MOTHER: “Is that what happened?”
DAUGHTER: “Mum, I got 42%. I answered every question. I know I did better than that.”
TEACHER: “Her answer sheet says otherwise.”
The mother looked directly at the teacher.
MOTHER: “Then I want to see the original answer sheet, not just the computer printout.”

When 18 year old Emily travelled to Japan with her family for a three week holiday, falling in love was the last thing on her mind.
On their fourth day in Kyoto, she accidentally boarded the wrong train and ended up at a station where nobody understood her English.
Frustrated and almost in tears, she sat on a bench when a Japanese boy approached her.
His name was Haruto, a 20 year old university student who spoke a little English.
He offered to help her find her hotel.
But there was one problem. Emily had lost her phone, wallet and hotel address.
Haruto decided to help her search for them.
What started as a simple act of kindness became something neither of them expected.

Some employers aren't necessarily looking for the best person. They're looking for the lowest-risk hire within their budget.
Research by the UK's National Foundation for Educational Research found that employers often prioritize previous experience over qualifications when recruiting. This creates a problem for people trying to enter an industry.
Another uncomfortable finding from UK government research: some employers deliberately avoid hiring overqualified candidates, fearing they'll become dissatisfied and leave.
So the experienced applicant can be rejected for being too qualified, while the inexperienced applicant is rejected for lacking experience.
The result is a recruitment paradox: employers want proven ability, but don't always want to pay what that ability costs.

You find a vacancy advertised as an entry-level position.
You open the requirements and discover they want three years of experience, advanced technical skills, professional qualifications, excellent communication, leadership ability and someone who can work independently with minimal supervision.
You think, fair enough, perhaps the salary reflects all that.
Then you scroll down.
The salary is barely above what someone with no experience could earn.
You apply anyway. Weeks later, you receive a rejection saying they found candidates whose experience more closely matched their requirements.
Meanwhile, the vacancy remains advertised.
You start wondering: are companies genuinely struggling to find suitable people, or are they searching for someone with senior-level capabilities at a junior-level price?
🚨Mikel Arteta on Max Dowman's red card against Fleetwood.
"We're very disappointed... especially with the reckless tackle that he receives. His reaction is minimal in relation to the action."
“It could have been really bad, and we’re lucky today that he hasn’t had a broken foot – that’s clear.”
Arteta admits the appeal rejection was disappointing but insists his reaction to Dowman was necessary.
“I had a talk with him yesterday…we have [all] made these mistakes. We know how much you can get punished, and how much it can change what happens next. It’s not the first time, so we need to put an end to it very quickly.”
At 16, Max needs protection, but he also needs to understand the consequences of his reactions. Arteta is making sure he understands both.
