Nick Brandt, the director, was nearly decapitated while filming "Earth Song" 🤯
“The biggest challenge was producing the wind. In the Amazon, they used an airplane propeller with no grill. During one shoot, Brandt was talking to his art director, and forgot about the exposed propeller, which had gradually been inching towards him. An alert crew member jumped over and saved his life before he was decapitated.”

The resurgence of Michael Jackson with little kids is crazy like you have not seen the likes of this since the 80s like their uncles and dads and grandparents in some cases went through this and now you got these little kids doing the same thing it’s crazy to me

25 years ago today Michael did his first and only cd singing of his career in NYC. Last week, the FM Group YouTube channel released a 15 minute long video with some never-before-seen HD footage from this day and to my absolutely shock, I’m in it! Even if for only 1 second, it’s incredible to see after all these years. Seeing myself at 19 years old about to meet my hero for the first time… I’m so grateful to have this clip. Watching everyone’s excitement in this video took my right back to this day 💛
I talk about this day and many other experiences I had with him in my episode with The MJ Cast podcast, episode #104 ☺️

Michael the boss 😂😂😂
“There was a musician who was not being as nice as he could be to a lot of the staff. Eventually, Michael heard what was happening so that person was called down to Michael's lounge and had a pie thrown in his face! Some people said that it sounded like a very mean-spirited thing to do, but it was really Michael's way of soothing the situation without anybody getting angry or anybody getting talked to. It was just Michael's way of saying: «Be nicer. Let's not be so angry. We understand the pressure, we're all under pressure.»

“I don't ever recall having a difficult vocal session with him and I never heard Michael Jackson sing a bad note, ever. Not out of tune, not out of time or tone - every note was pertect. That's why he was the greatest! And I can't say that of any other singer I've worked with and I've worked with some of the best!” Studio engineer Rob Hoffmann about the HIStory album recording sessions

“I participated in all the narration sessions on the E.T. Storybook. Michael seemed so innocent and pure when he read his narration of telling the story of E.T. I remember at one very emotional part Michael got so choked up he had to stop for a short time to regain his composure. I saw how he almost became one with E.T.s feelings and emotions and how sensitive, childlike and vulnerable he was. I think out of that purity and rawness came his creativity and genius.”

This tells you everything you need to know about Michael Jackson 🥺🥺🥺
“Once he came up to my house and I had this cat named Joey- this big fat cat who was afraid of his own shadow! Joey was afraid of me and I couldn't just walk up to him without going real slowly. Michael saw Joey who was sitting in the window so he walked to him. Joey just looked at him and didn't run away! If I had moved that quickly, and I lived with this stupid cat, Joey would have just panicked and run away! Somehow he sensed that Michael had that kind of special thing.”

“This man had more love in his bones than anybody I know. If you look up «love» in a dictionary, you should see a picture of Michael Jackson. He was the most loving, most kind, most generous, sweet, charismatic guy who loved to play practical jokes at people. I become speechless when I talk about Michael.”
