Fraud is top of mind for all Minnesotans heading to the polls. On day one as governor, I will fire all Walz administration commissioners, and replace them with new commissioners that are experts in their field and who will carry out the taxpayer accountability and transparency that is needed in our state.

After the abject failure of Tim Walz to protect our tax dollars from fraud, Minnesotans cannot afford to have Amy Klobuchar's well-documented toxic leadership style in the governor's office. This week, I unveiled my plan to protect whistleblowers who witness fraud taking place in executive agencies. It's an extension of the work I've been leading on as House Speaker to provide whistleblowers an amplified platform to speak out on the fraud that has taken place under the watch of Gov. Walz.

Tonight, I’m taking the stage to share my vision for a stronger, better Minnesota. Minnesotans have a choice: Do we want more of the same, a D.C. careerist with a penchant for bloated spending, high taxes and ignoring fraud? Or someone who has fought for better stewardship of our tax dollars and who will bring us a fresh start?

The Democrat status quo in the governor's office the last 16 years has more than doubled Minnesota's budget and has us as one of the highest taxed states in the nation. That's an unsustainable path:

"Speaker Demuth has proven her commitment to fighting for Minnesota’s small businesses,” said NFIB Minnesota State Director Jon Boesche. “Her support for lowering taxes and reducing workplace mandates will help make Minnesota a great place for small business owners to own, operate, and grow their businesses.” Under the Walz/Klobuchar status quo, our state ranks 44th in the nation for overall tax competitiveness and 41st in net domestic migration. As Governor, I will ensure we compete for every job to stay here in Minnesota, so we can return our state to a place where small businesses and working families can grow and thrive. Thank you to @nfib_mn for your endorsement!

This morning I unveiled my Whistleblower Protection Plan that I will sign as an executive order on my first day in office. I was joined by members of the House Fraud Prevention Committee as we articulated the need for a real change from the top down in order to end fraud and empower state agency employees to say something if they see something. We know the Walz status quo has failed, and that Amy Klobuchar’s well-documented toxic leadership style will not bring the change Minnesotans want to see. It’s time for a fresh start.

What Minnesotans are asking for is a fresh start, because we know the path we are on right now for businesses is unsustainable:

It's a pleasure to participate in this debate today sponsored by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. I'm in this race for governor to ensure Minnesota returns to a more competitive economy for businesses and a more affordable place to live for working families. Our state is overtaxed under the Walz administration. You deserve to keep more of your hard-earned dollars.

Minnesotans are tired of the Walz/Klobuchar status quo that has left us with billions of tax dollars stolen in fraud and as one of the highest taxed states in the nation. They're ready for a fresh start. I’m ready to deliver.

Many thanks to the Renville County Republicans for your support and energy to get out the vote in these final weeks of the election season. Was great to see Sen. Andrew Lang, Rep. Scott Van Binsbergen, Rep. Dave Baker and Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach at the Meet & Greet last night in Olivia.

Minnesota sits on the critical resources America needs—helium, critical minerals, and more. By developing them responsibly, we can strengthen national security, reduce reliance on foreign adversaries, and put our state at the center of 21st-century technology and manufacturing. As Governor, I’ll cut permitting delays and support these projects so Minnesota leads, not lags. Amy Klobuchar won't.
With helium in short supply, 60 Minutes learned that bringing new sources to market can take years. “It's not easy to find. It's not easy to build. The logistics are hard, right? You've got to keep something that's 452 degrees below zero cold. And it's perishable,” says Cliff Cain, president of Pulsar Helium Inc. cbsn.ws/4ypM5X5

Wherever we meet Minnesotans across our state, one of the top issues they ALWAYS bring up is fraud. I've been fighting to expose and stop the fraud of our tax dollars – that exploded under the watch of Gov. Walz – since I entered the legislature. Amy Klobuchar was literally silent on the fraud until Walz quit the race in January and handed her the baton. Minnesotans are done with the status quo. They're ready for a fresh start.

It was an honor to spend the afternoon with our next generation of cattle farmers at the 25th annual Minnesota Beef Expo in St. Paul. More than 600 young people from around the Upper Midwest were involved in this important weekend, and this afternoon they participated in the Junior Beef Market and Prospect Show. The future of one of America’s vital industries is in great hands with these talented 4Hers and FFA students preparing to lead the way. Special thanks to Rep. Nathan Nelson, a beef cattle farmer and legislator for House District 11A, for meeting up with us at the Expo.

We had an awesome morning in Shakopee with our District 54 doorknocking crew. Since I entered this race last November, I’ve been talking with folks at their doors, inside diners and across every district in Minnesota. They’re all telling us the same thing - end the fraud, make our streets safer and make everyday living more affordable. It’s time for a fresh start.

Grateful to learn that federal postal inspectors intercepted these suspicious mailings before they made it to the offices of senators Klobuchar and Smith and Secretary Simon. Any form of violence or threat of violence against elected officials must not be tolerated.
Packages containing suspicious substances were intercepted before reaching the Minnesota offices of U.S. Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith and Secretary of State Steve Simon, the officials said Friday. startribune.com/suspicious-w…

Thank you to @WSISports for the tour this week to learn more about one of Minnesota’s proud sports apparel manufacturing operations. For 36 years and counting, WSI has produced its apparel right here in Minnesota for youth sports all the way up to the pros. @Michele_Tafoya and I had a great time touring the Eagan facility and learning about WSI’s success story. Minnesota needs more great businesses like WSI, that will start here and grow here. As Governor, I will make it a priority to provide a more competitive business environment for our manufacturing industries that employ so many hardworking individuals and families.
