Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day and I #wearorange for the over 100 lives lost to #GUNviolence in Baltimore this year alone, the love of my life of 17 years, my nieces and friends I truly miss. Why do you wear orange today? @MomsDemand @Everytown

As of this morning, homicides are down 17.6% & nonfatal shootings are down 10.7% compared to this time last year. This is on top of the 23% drop in homicides and 34% decrease in nonfatal shootings we saw in 2024, and the 20.3% reduction in homicides the city experienced in 2023.

9/30 was a day of healing & courage for the community and loved ones affected. We've been in close contact with the survivors to help with healing.
