Boomer, Tell Me ’Bout the Offline Days
(to the tune of “Grandpa (Tell Me ’Bout the Good Old Days)”)
Verse 1
Boomer, tell me ’bout the offline days,
When talking meant face to face.
When dinner waited for the evening program,
Just one screen and one storyline.
Did families sit and laugh together,
Before the world began to craze?
Boomer, tell me ’bout the offline days.
Verse 2
Was love really slower back then,
Not a swipe or a D.M. trend?
Did people dance when songs came on the jukebox,
And hope that night would never end?
Did neighbors stop to talk for hours,
Instead of rushing on their way?
Boomer, tell me ’bout the offline days.
Chorus
We’re drownin’ in connection,
But we’re starved for somethin’ real.
Every click’s a confession
We’re not sure how to feel.
Boomer, your world sounds crazy —
But in a sweeter kind of way.
Tell me, did it really feel that way?
Verse 3
You say gas was cheap and homes were fair,
And news came from the evening air.
A voice would hum across the living room,
And everyone was there.
Now we stream a thousand stories,
But none of them seem to stay.
Boomer, tell me ’bout the offline days.
Chorus (reprise)
You built the world we’re livin’ in,
And we’re still tryin’ to make it spin.
We patch the cracks with mental health,
And try to start again.
Boomer, you had the moon to chase —
We’ve got Mars, but bills to pay.
Still, I’d love to see your good old days.
Outro
So pass the photo box and whiskey,
Let’s trade the screens for stories’ flame.
The world keeps turnin’ faster,
But some things stay the same.
Boomer, tell me ’bout the offline days.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for everything you have done for me in my life. Today, I prepare to face my fears in service to the morals your word has instilled within me. Thank you for healing my mind, body, and spirit to the point that I can now do this. Please walk with me in these hours.
In Jesus's name.
Amen
Heavenly Father
My heart is heavy. I stayed on in darkness too long. I ignored my discernment and intuition to follow the great Deceiver. I allowed the Devil to take hold of my life. He had my spirit in a chokehold. I repent. I surrender to your will. I humbly accept your direction. I pray to learn to love again through Christ. In His name I pray.
Amen 🙏
Every time I start to feel sorry for myself, I go to an online AA meeting and it reminds me how much I have to be grateful for.
When I had the vision that led to the model that no one wants me to pursue further, I was pure light. Pure. Light. And now??? I'm stuck here in the meat prison.
I feel like Buffy when they pulled her out of heaven.

I was 40 before i knew my behaviors were stimming. When I was a kid in elementary school, i always got in trouble because I couldn't stay in my seat. I learned to wiggle my toes inside my shoes because they couldn't punish me for that.
I'm sorry for who I was when I was experiencing intense trauma complicated by cancer and cannabis psychosis 😔
Heavenly Father
I am so grateful that you saw something worth saving in me even when I saw nothing in myself. Thank you for the breath in my body. Thank you even for the pain, for I know that through it I am made stronger in Spirit. I pray for you to relieve me of unhealthy energies, whether they arise within or from outside that I may do your will more effectively. I also pray you do the same for all. In Jesus's name. Amen 🙏
