In super exciting news, my first publication is out on the 1st of September! If you’re into Australian book publishing, Tumblr poetry, or me making academic jokes about biomechanical horses, you should grab a copy 🎉🎉

At LaTrobe’s Bold Thinking Series session on taboo subject matter in children’s books: “We can no longer cottonwool wrap children against the parts of the world adults are ashamed of.” Morris Gleitzman #boldLTU
These are some great places to look for contemporary Australian poetry. I've got @GiramondoBooks Aqua Spinach sitting in my TBR pile at the moment and just reading the name is like an epic fever dream.

Just a timely reminder that literary canon has actively not included diverse narratives for yonks. The value of a book is not in whether traditional review platforms give it prominence. theguardian.com/books/2019/f…
I see you there Too Much Lip, enjoy the sun in Madras. You'll definitely get more there than at the top of my TBR pile. #bookdiplomacy
Special arrival to #Chennai today! Many thanks to our friend @AnitaHeiss and @DFATQLD for organising this shipment of Australian literature, which we will be presenting to the Centre for Australian Studies at the University of Madras! #AustraliainIndia #culturaldiplomacy
