Stupid random thoughts lol Hasn’t ENHYPEN’s story always been built around parallels? From the very beginning, we’ve repeatedly encountered two sides existing alongside each other: human and vampire, mortal and immortal, given and taken, chose and chosen, light and darkness, life and death, reality and fantasy. Two sides of the same story. Two versions of the same event. Two perspectives that can exist at the same time. Given/Taken represents two directions of the same exchange. Chose/Chosen questions the difference between making a choice and being the one who is chosen. Human and vampire can be two different natures existing within the same narrative. Mortal and immortal are two different conditions of existence. And then there is the imagery of mirrors. We’ve seen this idea repeatedly throughout ENHYPEN’s visual language: reflections, doubles, counterparts, figures appearing on opposite sides, characters confronting another version of themselves, and imagery suggesting that what exists on one side may also exist somewhere else…or not. A mirror doesn’t necessarily create something new, it reflects something that already exists, but maybe.. in a different way. Distorted. Perhaps the “other world” has never simply meant another physical universe. It could also represent another perspective, another version of reality, another side of the same story. This would also fit the way ENHYPEN’s lore often leaves us questioning whether two apparently different scenes are actually separate events, or whether we’re seeing the same event from different perspectives. So when Parallel Worlds appears now, I can’t help but wonder: Is this really the beginning of the concept, or is it the name finally being given to something that has been present all along? And then there is the rebranding and the increasing presence of Backrooms-like imagery and concepts. The rebranding imagery and description and the Backrooms references could potentially expand this idea even further. The Backrooms are associated with a seemingly endless system of spaces, levels, entrances and exits, a structure where one reality can lead into another. Could they eventually open the possibility of multiple parallel worlds, each representing a different version of the characters, different outcomes, different perspectives, or even different timelines? Which makes me wonder whether the future of the lore could move beyond one parallel world. So I can’t help but wonder: Is there a real or principal world? How many worlds have been there exactly all along? I would love to hear your thoughts 🧐
