Heavenly Father, help me to trust You with the things I cannot change. Give me courage to do what I can, and wisdom to know the difference. Guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and fill me with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Amen.

I have an idea for a new TV show. It’s about an English professor that travels through time correcting everyone’s grammar. It’s called, "Dr. Whom".

I don’t think they should be allowed to have Jenrick on this early on a Sunday. About 11.30pm would be OK.

I'd just like to know why that policy won't apply to people like Anthony Bamford who owe the HMRC millions. Why do they only ever use this sort of power against people with a couple of thousand in the bank?

ARCHITECTURE The future of historic Mavis Bank House, once described as Scotland’s most at risk building, is secured. Scots Ministers confirm ownership will be taken over by Midlothian Council. Mavisbank House, near Edinburgh, was built by celebrated Scottish architect William Adam in 1723 as a summer residence for John Clerk of Penicuik, a leading figure of the Enlightenment, and signatory of the Act of Union (1707). Its design was a pioneering example of a neo-Classical style which William Adam’s son Robert Adam and others would develop for Edinburgh’s New Town a generation later. The local authority had launched a Compulsory Purchase Order after decades of campaigning to save it from ruin. And this week the order was confirmed after Scottish Ministers ruled it was in the public interest to transfer it to the council after multiple attempts to identify an owner failed. The announcement was welcomed by television presenter Griff Rhys Jones who presented the BBC Restoration series which saw Mavisbank House reach the national finals 20 years ago. Griff said: β€œThis is a building of huge architectural significance for Scotland. Thank goodness a resolution has finally been achieved. It could not now be in safer hands.” Campaigners have been fighting to save the Category A listed building since fire ripped through it 50 years ago, almost burning it to the ground. Its future was in doubt for decades until the National Heritage Memorial Fund announced a grant of Β£5.3m to historic buildings charity The Landmark Trust to rescue and stabilise the mansion two years ago sparking a bid by Midlothian Council to seek a Compulsory Purchase Order to take over the site.

BBC has role that is mere propaganda for establishment. Here the future King of UK is on a tv sofa saying we need to prove how progress is possible on climate crisis, whilst he and and his elite ilk have a carbon footprint 50 times that of average family bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c30r…

National Museums Scotland announced it had acquired a rare, 8thC, gold sword pommel #OTD in 2022. A detectorist found it at Blair Drummond, Stirling, in 2019. Encrusted with garnets, it has eyes and a beak on each end. πŸ“ΈNational Museums Scotland

Striped cuckoo chicks have unusual plumage that makes them look like pinecones. This camouflage helps them blend into their surroundings, making it harder for predators to notice them.
