After 6 hours with Crimson Desert’s first DLC, I’m now sure this is the perfect open-world experience. This is exactly how every open-world game should feel.
Charting the Unknown upgrades a ton of the systems that were already there while adding a bunch of new ones — ship-building with naval combat, a full business management system that almost feels like a different game, and more. The world just feels more alive and unique than ever.
Most of my time I’m either getting lost in the unbelievable beauty of some random location or managing and opening every kind of business. I haven’t even touched the new story yet. I launch the game and something immediately pulls my attention, so I just have to go explore and see what’s there.
I’ve never felt this way about a game before. Crimson Desert is easily one of my favorite games of all time, and I already know I’ll keep playing it over and over without getting bored for a second.

Here are some key details:
◼️ Fixed an issue where the game would return to the title screen when gifting multiple items to NPC.
◼️ Fixed frame rate drops in certain areas.
◼️ (AMD) fixed an issue where the game would crash in Pailune if the Cinematic options was enabled while using driver version 26.10.1.
◼️ Fixed an issue where the crew members aboard your ship would excessively talk.
◼️ Fixed an issue where pioneering would not be completed when attempting to complete a pioneering mission while a ship was near the anchorage.
◼️ Fixed an issue where abyss cressets at secret places and ruins located in the ocean did not function properly.
◼️ Fixed an issue with the level 5 management popularity reward was not applied to all characters.
◼️ Fixed an issue where Kite Pirates could enter the assault ship of the east.
◼️ Fixed an issue where some sound effects did not did not play while diving under certain situations.

We have deployed a content update this morning for our 20th Anniversary Event which starts tomorrow.
This update also includes further improvements to game stability across PC, XBOX and handhelds as well as fixes to missing War Journal entries and completed Achievements, such as the "This is my Rifle" achievement. Missing entries and achievement are granted the next time you sign in.
We also fixed a few Campaign blocking bugs and an issue where characters could sometimes appear as skeletons.
Later this week, we'll share an update on weapon tuning changes.
