Florian Wirtz has created 14 chances under high-intensity pressure from opponents in the Premier League this season, more than any other player. 🇩🇪👌 [@OptaJoe]

VVD isn’t our best defender. Hes head and shoulders best defender in league

Think Iraola deserves far more credit than the general consensus seems to be right now, he’s lost ONE match at Liverpool, to City. They’re 3 wins from 3 in the UCL, on 15 points after 8 games (71-ish point pace), utilising Nyoni, Koumas, Rio, McConnell. They were one of the teams whose transfer business was most worrying, Araujo’s done well but RB, LB, central midfield, he’s managed those issues near-perfectly. Still so much to be improved on even from a coaching POV but in a transition season with a sub optimal “rebuild” in the summer, you couldn’t have asked for much more.

Chelsea increasingly confident of signing Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott in January. Scott is Chelsea’s top target after Enzo Fernandez’s left for Manchester City on deadline day over the summer. Bournemouth want £100m+ and Xabi Alonso’s side are already in fresh talks having made multiple bids over the summer. Liverpool also hold an interest in Scott, but have less urgency to add a midfielder in January. Monaco's Lamine Camara, who Chelsea failed to sign on deadline day, and Roma's Manu Kone are two other targets.🍒 🤝 @alex_crook

🚨@DaveD0106: I was impressed with Vuskovic yesterday in a Tough afternoon. He’s a huge talent, but I do wonder with price maybe around £100m, if #LFC would do it. Jacquet, Leoni, Araujo on top of VVD is an incredible collection & I like him. I just don’t know if #LFC go to what Brighton would want.

Bradley Barcola has five goals and assists in his last four games for Liverpool across all competitions. He's arrived 🤝

Ball ricochets out to a Brighton player to have a shot and every liverpool player in proximity are immediate to react. If you ever wanted encouraging signs of positive cultural habits, Iraola can see them with his liverpool team early doors.

That’s 4 performances on the bounce from Florian Wirtz after the Man City game. If this is the floor level of influence that Wirtz can have on a Premier League game, then he’ll be a success. It’s all down to the mental; there seems to be a real confidence to every action now.

Keep him as a back up LB but we need to invest in one that’s able to play the passes to unleash the wingers
