I have organ damage from Covid. Ignorant people be like: IT’S VACCINES! No. I had Covid in March 2020. Pre-vaccines. YOU WERE OLD OR UNHEALTHY! No. I was 39, fit & healthy. (Not that it should matter.) IT’S RARE! No. 400 million worldwide. So far. healthdata.org/research-anal…

This is shameful - I’ve been in a Scottish hospital recently. A nurse there told me that flu and Covid were rife in the hospital - of course, not a mask in sight.
📊 This week's #UKHSAVirusWatch graphs show flu is stable at baseline levels & COVID-19 is at low levels. 🟢Flu positivity remained stable at 6.3%, compared with 6.2% the previous week.

Imagine treating a patient for severe, life altering consequences of a Covid infection, and telling them it’s no big deal if they get Covid, or making little of them for masking, or telling them Covid is “mild”. The mental gymnastics are astounding.

I’m so fed up of reading articles where people demand that the NHS starts preparing for winter. It’s the end of October. Politicians should have started preparing in March 🚨

More tireless effort from @cv_cev who are advocating for not only the right to wear a respirator in healthcare but for their usage to be rightly & formally acknowledged as backed by science. The politicisation of masks is leaving ppl at risk of harm. clinicallyvulnerable.org/wp-…

Well, well, well… For the record, the whole “Covid will evolve to become milder & more benign over time” thing was always a lie. This raises a lot of concerning questions. I would like to once again point out we have no idea what we are doing.
This is a very interesting study from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. It suggests that SARS-CoV-2 may be evolving in a way that makes it increasingly difficult for the human immune system to recognize the virus in the first place—not simply harder for existing antibodies to neutralize it. So now one has to wonder whether if fewer naïve human B cells can recognize an evolved virus, will the vaccines even work? Will they have a difficult time recruiting genuinely new B-cell specificities? Doesn't this seem like an issue worth considering @FDADrugs @FDA @CDC @NIHDirector_Jay? It’s known SARS-CoV-2 evolves to erode antibodies from prior infection/vaccination. We asked: has it also become inherently less recognized by human germline antibodies? As shown below, answer is yes. ~3-fold fewer naïve human B cells bind newer vs old viral variant RBDs.

Put a mask 😷 on & you won’t get RSV, Covid or Flu!
Respiratory syncytial virus, better known as RSV, is a common virus that circulates during winter. While most infections are mild, RSV can cause serious illness in newborn babies & older adults. The vaccine helps protect those most at risk from becoming seriously unwell. 🛡️💉

People really think Covid ended. Like, they really actually believe it, while it continues to come in wave after wave. The state propaganda really did its job. Too bad public health didn't, because they killed it for corporate real estate and political favorability.

Covid infections in England are continuing to increase. The overall Covid risk level remains High and, as of 18 October, 1 in every 149 people in England were infected. Full precautions, including a PPE mask, are strongly recommended in ALL indoor places. A thread 🧵

I don’t want any apology for what happened “during Covid” Because right now is during Covid. And all the mistakes of 2020 are still happening, except now they are official policy. It shouldn’t be dangerous to seek healthcare, or education, or work, or groceries. For many, it is

Decades before Covid, my mom would avoid sick people like the plague. She'd say, "They've already got it, they don't care if they give it to you!" I used to think she had a terrible view of people. Turns out she had it right; it's the people who are terrible, not her view.
Online meeting: 4 our of 7 were sick. One person works in disability sector & has RSV. She said she thinks she passed it onto 4 clients, & one of those ended up in hospital. Her final words on the subject were, "Oh well, someone gave it to me in the first place anyway". FmL 😡

Because they are prepared to let unprotected ÑHS staff and patients be exposed to COVID and its complications. It will not affect the ÑHS managers or political class safe in their ivory towers. Shame to UKHSA for standing by and not highlighting this, preferring to focus on flu.

Sunk Cost fallacy Also, this society rewards compliant behaviour, following orders w/out thinking is the standard for the professional class and they think we are conspiracy theorists for asking simple questions like "how is hand washing supposed to stop airborne illness"

I think they have just come too far along telling everyone to wash their hands that they would seem ridiculous if they admitted respiratory diseases could be prevented largely by cleaning air.

Doctors & nurses don’t want to use PPE. It’s just that simple. They think if they put it on again, they might have to work in PPE always. They can’t think into the future — if they *don’t* put it on again, there might not BE an ‘always’ worth living & working in.

It would show up hand washing? Wouldn't it? The post 2020 traumatised IPs irrationally believe they need hand washing more than ever with AMR charging and do not want to damage hand washings reputation, their reputation or upset big soap? Delighted if NHS IP's would contribute.

Just one idea. Yes they can fix the future but not the past. Govt/NHS have poor records when dealing with their own failures. Every long run scandal has been kicked down the road for-eva. Blood, Post Office, Hillsborough etc all have taken decades to resolve and

Exactly! The cost of respirator masks for all the staff - also made available free to all visitors and patients - is tiny compared to the cost of Covid infections. And why aren't ALL healthcare facilities cleaning the air?? It doesn't cost the earth, but Covid does.
