Crazy opinion I know @ElectionsCan_E, but 91 candidates taking our electoral system to its “breaking point” probably says more about how ill-suited our democracy is to genuine participation than it does about how dangerous we are 🤔

Update: parliament prorogued, PROC disbanded, and bill C-65 is ☠️.
Because election rules are for MPs to decide (rather than an independent nonpartisan body) it’ll take years before any new changes to the Election Act can be implemented
