Any Resemblance Is Accidental marks the culmination of Loop Art Critique’s Cohort #22 (August 24 – October 1, 2026), featuring eight artists who participated in critique sessions alongside special guest Jon Rafman @jonrafman
Each artist inhabits a room connected by a surreal corridor that serves as a psychological threshold. As visitors move through these spaces, filled with artworks navigating diverse themes and techniques, as well as portals to alternate realms, they encounter questions of authenticity versus invention, simulacra versus fiction, and the interplay between chance and intention, particularly within digital spaces.
Participating Artists
Wyatt Bertz , Clayton Campbell, Salesforce Child, Sim Ciudad, Mars Eve, Naomi Moser, Andrea Nakhla & Asser Saint-Val

Together with @icamiami, we’ll explore The Last Human Frontier: Art & Sex in the Age of AI, intimacy, desire, and what makes us human
When a joss paper MacBook Air is burned, where does it go?
cyber monday afterlife by Mavyn Vu , part of our current exhibition, Technical Objects Exist.
The work imagines an afterlife for contemporary electronics offered through traditional ancestral veneration rites. Paper money, clocks, radios, iPhones, and computers cross into a spirit world, where they might be received, understood, and used in unexpected ways.
Bringing digital technology into dialogue with ritual and remembrance, cyber monday afterlife considers how the objects of everyday life carry our desires and connections beyond the material world.

Endless CPR in a city where no one can die.
Last week, our current guest artist, @jonrafman , gave a public talk about his work and creative process and led an intensive workshop for Cohort 22, where we began making a movie. Here’s a glimpse of what we created.
We spent four hours together developing scenes, scripts, characters, music, and a short clip using tools including Midjourney, Meshy, and sound creation tools.
The story centers on endless CPR in a city where no one can die. In a newly built virtual suburb, Mikey begins performing CPR on an elderly woman who collapses while walking her dog. Although she is clearly dead, he refuses to stop. Days turn into weeks, then months, and the rescue becomes a collective ritual. Armed protectors organize shifts, strangers take turns helping, and an entire community forms around the ongoing attempt to save her. When someone questions whether she is still alive, violence claims another victim and sets another cycle of endless CPR in motion.

As AI generates images, conversations, fantasies, and companionship, it also reveals the extraordinary complexity of being human. What separates intimacy from information? Can vulnerability be simulated? Does intimacy require a body?
Artists have long explored sexuality through identity, power, pleasure, politics, and human connection. This exhibition invites you to explore these questions through the intersection of art, sexuality, intimacy, and AI.
We welcome works that embrace uncertainty, challenge assumptions, and explore what resists automation: presence, empathy, vulnerability, and emotional risk.
Everyone is invited to submit their work!

We’ll be in conversation with Jon Rafman @jonrafman inside Loop, in collaboration with @icamiami
Maybe you’ve entered Loop many times; maybe you’ve never been inside. Either way, everyone is invited to participate from anywhere in the world. Reserve your spot here: loopart.link/wZJ2c3rF or simply enter Loop at the scheduled date and time.
As our current guest artist, Jon Rafman joins Cohort 22 each week, supporting the development of the artists’ work through conversation and feedback. This time, he’ll be speaking about his own practice.
Working across video, sculpture, installation, and virtual environments, Rafman examines how digital technologies transform identity, memory, desire, and social relationships. Drawing from video games, online communities, internet subcultures, and AI-generated imagery, his work reveals the strange, intimate, and often unsettling ways we inhabit digital worlds.
With these images from Main Stream Media by Jon Rafman @jonrafman at K21, Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen @kunstsammlngnrw we’re reminding you that tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, at 5 PM ET, we’ll be in conversation with Jon online inside Loop, in collaboration with ICA Miami.@icamiami
Join us from anywhere in the world on whatever device you have available. We always recommend using a computer, but you can also join from your phone or tablet.
_Main Stream Media, Rafman’s first solo exhibition in a German museum, brought together immersive installations spanning his work from 2008 to the present.
