"Don't you understand? I'm sick of being walked on."
Classic #Corrie. Stan and Hilda Ogden, portrayed by Bernard Youens and Jean Alexander, were a fantastic double act. They are hugely missed.

Last night went to see GHOSTS: THE POSSESSION OF BUTTON HOUSE and once you get over the weird feeling of watching something from the telly at the pictures, it's absolutely gorgeous and full of heart and soul.

Met Police going from "what letter?" to "oh, that letter" to "we shared it with the DoS, told her allegations would be investigated, sat on it for 8yrs & neglected to share it with other law enforcement agencies" to "we are referring ourselves to the police watchdog" - in 24hrs.
Scotland Yard has confirmed that a letter containing several allegations was shared with Meghan Markle, but the details of those allegations were not shared with other law enforcement agencies.
They're also investigating how the matter was handled and considering whether to refer itself to the police watchdog.

Interesting that the Met were more interested in reminding me of my confidentiality obligations regarding the Royal Family than informing the relevant Police authorities in relation to potential child sex crimes committed by the father of a future member of the Royal Family.
Latest on the allegations about Meghan’s father Thomas Markle. And questions for @metpoliceuk about why it didn’t tell anyone else in the US or Mexico about the serious allegations?
@itvnews has seen the letter which police received in 2019 and then passed to Meghan

Being a big fan of the BBC series Ghosts, I went to the cinema this afternoon to see the movie version... and it was such an enjoyable experience. The audience laughed all the way through it, which was infectious, so I had many hearty laughs myself. Such a positive feel-good film. Highly recommended. So if you are umming & ahhing about going, do go. You'll enjoy it!
Someone out there needs to see this today.

This is how you do NEIGHBORS!!
A couple notices a middle schooler waiting for the bus at the edge of their driveway every morning. They put out a bench and make it his official bus stop. The doorbell cam catches him jumping when he sees it, then holding up a handwritten thank you note. Then they build him a little outdoor library.
Everybody talks about how kids today have no manners. That kid wrote a thank you note by hand and held it up to the camera. Somebody raised him right.
And the neighbors could've just been annoyed a kid was standing on their property every day. They decided to make his mornings better.
I'm raising two boys and this is the stuff I want them to see. Notice people. Do something small. And when someone does something for you, say thank you.
It takes a village, or is that a thing of the past?

I came upon him playing in Battersea… recorded for 6.5 mins and left him playing… wish I could have stayed to applaud. What a JOY!
I hope he’s pursuing and nurturing his talent professionally… if not, someone please…. PLEASE SHARE

It was an honour to meet and talk with Prince Albert Jacob, who at 101 years old is one of the few surviving Caribbean veterans to have served in WWII, at a ceremony onboard HMS Belfast organised by the Jamaican ex Soldiers Association. Prince joined the RAF in 1943, aged 17. In 1953 he got married to Mary (pic), who went on to be a deputy headteacher whilst he worked for the post office.

I’m still shocked by the Arday frenzy this summer. Right across the spectrum — from the Times, Unherd, Telegraph, Mail to the Guardian, Novara, Private Eye… based on tenuous assumptions. Left right politics does not explain it. Something deeper, more atavistic and barbaric
