Very well explained!!!
❗️BIG THREAD / THOUGHTS ON T8 AND T6 Played a bit of T8 today and although I had an amazing session I will explain what it feels like after playing Tekken 6 for a week straight. In Tekken 6 I fought some of the best players and I could still manage to win because of movement regardless of character strength (which plays a big role but everyone is fairly manageable because of the system). The opponents can be on equal skill level or even better and you can still be relaxed and patient because you are not constantly threatened for your entire health bar from heat smashes/powered up moves via installs or general range 3 buttons that were introduced in T8 (such as Kazuya ff2) etc. while also not having to constantly guess via heat dashes or forced stance mix ups (heihachi heat smash is an example). I found myself relaxed and calm even when I was at 1 hp and the opponent had a full health bar because I could potentially out neutral them and have a better chance at winning with proper defense and movement. In Tekken 8 I constantly find myself in very disadvantageous or advantageous positions UNDESERVABLY so. The dumb mechanics of Tekken 8 are a far end for both players considering the game is more comparable to something like dice due to having to hold mixups with your back on the wall and taking 0 risk for HUGE REWARD. Tekken 8 is far more random allowing players of much lower skill level to compete with better players and I also include myself in this example considering I got games/sets from players like Qudans/Keisuke/JoKa etc. because of Tekken 8 mechanics. Regardless of how strong one may be , guessing is guessing and Tekken 8 has been very clear from the start that it wants you to play rock paper scissors every round. Last thing I heavily dislike about Tekken 8 is how they introduced moves that completely erase character identity by entirely removing their weaknesses while ONLY amplifying their strengths and being far more forgiving when the user is not precise (moves have absurdly low whiff recovery and weird tracking while movement is very limited) I enjoy both games for what they are but now I understand why the OGs prefer older titles while I also respect the people who put their time and effort on Tekken 8 even if I find the level to be very low even at high ranks due to the game being so free. I will keep posting clips from every Tekken game because at heart I am a fan of the franchise and not just one game. Thank you for reading and have a good rest of your day!

This all day
Replying to @DroopiTV
This isn’t about being old, or trapped in nostalgia. They stripped everything that made Tekken Tekken starting with 7. Easier throw breaks and windows, easier movement, easier back dash recovery, neutral skips, wake up/okizeme game is non existent, homogenized move-lists, covering characters weaknesses, 2D fighter-like pressure and the list goes on. Whether you like T8 or not, when you take away the depth of things you lose the art and quality of it. Including the people that have passion for it. There’s your answer to everyone playing T6. Everyone can play T8, and being on the receiving end of the bs that occurs with every character and the heat mechanic is exactly what makes it not fun.

Literally was the only leg that missed smh
Kenneth Walker was ruled short of the goal line, but another angle shows the ball may have crossed the line. The play was never reviewed.
