ZachXBT: AscendEX May Be Delaying User Withdrawals Due to Liquidity Issues ZachXBT issued a community alert saying he has observed multiple reports that centralized exchange AscendEX, formerly Bitmax, is delaying user withdrawals for days or weeks, or not processing withdrawals. After reviewing known hot wallets on Arkham/TRM, he said the exchange’s reserves appear to lack large-cap tokens such as ETH, USDT and SOL, indicating it is likely facing liquidity issues. AscendEX was founded by George (Jing) Cao and Ariel Ling in 2018 and was reportedly hacked by Lazarus Group for $78 million in December 2021.
