Great projects don’t have to be big projects. #FlashbackFriday to our award-winning US 12 Allen Creek Bridge in Jackson County, WI. The 110-foot single-span bridge earned WisDOT’s Excellence in Small Structures Award, and delivered “a great project on time and on budget.”

Bridge building, from the water up! Working from barges on the Wabash River, Lunda crews place concrete for a new pier cap on the $136M I-64 Wabash River Bridge Replacement. #MarineConstruction in action! #BridgeConstruction #Infrastructure

Give commuters another month with their bridge — and still finish on time? Challenge accepted. For Minneapolis’ Camden Bridge rehab, Lunda kept the roadway open 30 extra days, then completed the 160-day Phase 1 in the remaining 130. #FlashbackFriday

Some days, the bridge is the classroom! Lunda was pleased to welcome Milwaukee School of Engineering Professional Construction Society students to our Cherry Street Bridge Project yesterday for a presentation and an up-close look at bridge construction in progress. #MSOE

What makes you feel supported at work? We asked our Edina Pedestrian Bridge crew that question for #ConstructionInclusionWeek. For Mario D. and Mario P., the answer was easy: “Our foreman, Nick.” Sometimes inclusion is that simple: listen, appreciate good work, support your crew.

Bridge construction challenge: not enough river. Low water on the St. Croix is creating unusual site conditions for Lunda’s Hwy 243 Osceola Bridge project. Our team is adapting its approach as preparations continue for this important new crossing. #Infrastructure #SiteConditions

4 dam sites. 34 gates replaced. 1 year ahead of schedule. The Fox River Dams Trunnion and Gate Repairs project is just another chapter in Lunda's long history of tackling complex marine infrastructure projects! #FlashbackFriday

A 2006 runway extension required relocating a road, shifting a rail line and protecting sensitive wetlands. Lunda responded with a 111-span railroad bridge built using a leap-frog construction method across the future alignment. Infrastructure is problem-solving! #FlashbackFriday

They haul cranes. They haul equipment. They haul the stuff that lets the rest of us build stuff. And somehow they make backing up 80 feet of truck look easy. To Lunda’s truck drivers: we see you. We appreciate you. Keep on truckin’. #ThankATrucker #TruckDriverAppreciationWeek

We’re proud to see Lunda team members Juan Torres and Scott Goplen featured in a recent MnDOT article on the agency’s On-the-Job Training program! Scott praised Juan’s curiosity and work ethic: “He has great questions.” And Juan says “Being passionate about what you do matters.”

Replacing a railroad bridge is challenging enough. Doing it — including track work, abutments and wingwalls — within a 14-hour window near an environmentally sensitive cranberry marsh takes careful planning and execution. Tight window, logistical challenges: all in a day's work!

Many hands make light work! Our Milwaukee office recently completed its second Adopt-a-Highway cleanup of 2026 in Waukesha County, WI. With our largest group to date, they made quick work of the cleanup, and they're seeing the results of their continued efforts. Great job, team!

The 610 Completion project in Maple Grove, MN included 9 bridges, an interchange, 9 retaining walls, new frontage road, and entrance and exit ramps as it extended Trunk Highway 610 three miles to I-94, completing a vital connection in the Twin Cities metro. #FlashbackFriday

From bare ground to vital infrastructure! Our Mackinac Island Wastewater Treatment Plant project is nearing completion. Equipment barged to a motor-vehicle-free island and crews working through Michigan winters, we’re proud to build infrastructure that keeps communities thriving!

For nearly a century, the 10th Avenue Bridge has crossed the Mississippi River in the heart of Minneapolis. Its award-winning rehabilitation, completed by Lunda in 2021, helped make sure this familiar part of the city’s past remains part of its future. #FlashbackFriday

#FlashbackFriday to our work at Fincantieri Marinette Marine, constructing infrastructure supporting the largest vertical ship lift in the U.S., capable of handling vessels weighing nearly 10,000 tons! Marine foundations, mass concrete and innovative solutions, that's Lunda!
