I report an informative pill of mine (in Italian) as a member of the Commission on Artificial Intelligence for information on the current state of Generative Artificial Intelligence models.

It is therefore the hope of the writer that this trend will also spread to other players in the field of generative AI, allowing greater transparency and democratization in the use of this technology.
In this context, Europe, which has always distinguished itself as the “home of open source” (one example above all: the Linux operating system and its derivatives), could recover its space and act as a guide towards the new generation of open models.

Interesting point of view from @acmpolicy on Trusted AI and the role of researchers, engineers, and regulators. Research on Human-centered AI and Intelligence Amplification for human users is more and more important to provide viable solutions.
