Setting a combine today, customer was using same settings as last year which were providing 0.25bu/ac loss with great capacity. This year same settings over 5bu/ac loss.
Few minor tweaks and back under 0.25bu/ac loss once again. Year to year conditions can make a huge difference, it more than pays to check and make sure.

We run Claas combines and automation is awesome but you have to know what you’re doing and yes check losses, set the parameters and boom automation takes care of it. My daughter was busy with the pans of @BushelPlus and it paid off. Settings were way different than last yr
Great real life point from @valleyfield2008 ✌🏻Automation still needs to be set up with MIN/MAX parameters and ground truthing loss by the operator - Automation is a tool, but it still needs to be set. It's like "we're still setting combines, but with the difference of - instead of adjusting combine settings, now we're setting the automation parameters and factors." Either way, the fundamentals are important. @BushelPlus

So I did a Hail Mary yesterday with @BushelPlus we were having losses in wheat. Af11. Strange. Automation took us where we needed last year. Not this year. You can’t run fan that low. Oh ya u can. I finally put in max fan at 700. Told myself it’s going to be ugly sample. (1)
