Maryland National Guard Adjutant General Major General Janeen Birckhead’s visit to Manjača highlighted the strong, longstanding partnership between the Maryland National Guard and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Built on mutual trust, sustained professional engagement, and enduring institutional ties, this partnership strengthens defense capabilities, improves interoperability, and advances shared U.S.-BiH security interests.
The CURRENT RESPONSE 26 exercise provided a valuable opportunity to see that cooperation in action as AFBiH units demonstrated their readiness and ability to operate according to NATO standards.
Conducted through NATO’s Operational Capabilities Concept Evaluation and Feedback program, the exercise assesses the readiness, operational capabilities, and interoperability of designated AFBiH units under realistic field conditions. @OruzanesnageBiH @MDNG #USAinBiH
