A short conversation with one of my former athletes on Monday made me remember this clip in an interview I did where I was asked why I wrote the book When The Ball Goes Flat.
Coaches, the main way to help is to get someone in front of your athletes who can have this tough conversation in a positive way. Not getting them a scholarship doesn’t fall 100% on you but not exposing them to resources that will help with their transition is 100 percent on you
