I’m struggling with the idea of a UK separation. How can the leaders unilaterally push for that given current understandings? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Last referendum: 2014 Outcome: >55% to remain in UK. Independence Appetite: High, evenly split with lean towards remain. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Last referendum: Never Independence Appetite: Minimal, pushes for better devolution over independence. Northern Ireland (So British embedded there’s no NI flag emoji!) Last referendum: 1973 Outcome: > 98% to remain in UK. Independence Appetite: Meaningful but still a minority by far. I do not believe there’s appetite for this across the devolved nations. Are the leaders of these nations engaging in treason?

Well done to all involved and thank you to Sec. Buttigieg for joining us. If this is what has been achieved by the team in such a little time, what does the future hold? Well done all. Bullish on @The_Crossbench !

This is deeply concerning.
🚨EXCLUSIVE: An anonymous source has informed us that Oxford Brookes University has a ‘Black Students’ Common Room’. It is unknown whether students of other nationalities are banned from entering, though if they are, it is thought that this would violate the Equality Act 2010.

Vance and Rubio have blown out any credibility they had. Once exciting Republicans for the future, now forever tarnished.
🤢 Vance praised Putin, calling him a very thoughtful and level-headed man

🚨EXCLUSIVE: Green Party National Spokesperson for Business & Trade, Jo Bird, seemingly encouraged support for members of proscribed terrorist group ‘Palestine Action’ in a newly surfaced clip from 2024. This was soon after they criminally damaged Teledyne Factory in Bromborough around 2 years ago. Here is the clip below, as well our full article write up on the story by our co-founder @LTaylor16005 👇

ZERO POINT SEVEN! Thank god for Labour. My life is noticeably better since their election!
Bad news for right-wing doomsters and gloomsters. The economy grew 0.7% in the three months to August despite rising energy and borrowing costs. Labour is working.

“We’re struggling to live in an economy rigged for the rich, on a burning planet, while the cost of essentials skyrocket… That’s why I’ve spent the past decade as an activist fighting for Palestine.” Sorry, what is the correlation there? Some people getting into politics have no idea about politics I’m convinced
Amazing pamphlet: like if you asked a 15 year old for their politics wishlist if there were no consequences

Where I stand on the possibility that Russia meddled in the Brexit Referendum is actually quite clear. I actually deviate from the majority opinion of those on ‘my side.’ If anyone knows foreign policy, and they know how the Russian state behave, I think they’d agree that it is extremely likely that Russia DID attempt to affect the outcome of the Brexit Referendum. One of Russia’s most favoured weapons of statehood is meddling in others’ affairs. Ukraine, Georgia, historically as the USSR. The list goes on. It’s in their blood. It is also one of the cheapest, and easiest ways to influence the affairs of foreign nations. The only infrastructure required is a computer. Russia and China see our democracy as merely a widely open and easy-to-exploit system. And arguably, this IS a built-in weakness of our more liberal systems. But it’s obviously worth it as the price we pay for freedom. If Russia had a chance to pull one of the EU’s biggest players away from Europe and hopefully weaken European strength, AND at a time where they had begun actively meddling in Ukraine in 2014, then you can put all your money on the fact that they did meddle in the Brexit vote. Now, does meddling mean INFLUENCING? No. I believe they attempted to meddle yes, but did they meddle enough to MAKE the outcome lead to Brexit? No. I believe the British public got there themselves. And I think this is where Burnham has tripped himself up, by not distinguishing between the two.
