Dr Andrew Bagshaw, a New Zealander, travelled to Ukraine in 2022 to do something extraordinary: save people trapped in towns and cities under Russian attack.
He rescued more than 500 people before disappearing during another dangerous humanitarian mission. He put his own life on the line to save strangers — people he had never met, but whose lives mattered to him.
In Finding Andrew, award-winning investigative documentary maker Bryan Bruce retraces Andrew’s steps and uncovers a deeply troubling story.
The Ukrainian people will always be grateful to Andrew for choosing not to watch Russia’s war against Ukraine from the safety of Christchurch, 17,000 kilometres away, but to come to Ukraine and help those whose lives were at risk.
Andrew’s story is a powerful reminder that even in the darkest moments of war, there are people who choose courage, compassion and humanity over indifference.

Kiwi K.A.R.E. has just delivered its 75th ambulance (81 vehicles in total) into service in Ukraine.
The latest six are not new vehicles. They are decommissioned (end of economic life) ambulances on a new mission - to save lives in the red zones.
We are deeply grateful to @StJohnNZ for their continued support and trust in Kiwi K.A.R.E to provide a professional service in reaching the most vulnerable Ukrainians.
The latest convoy covered 2,200 km from Ostend, Belgium, to Kyiv without incident. My sincere thanks to my Polish friends who dedicated their time and driving skill to get them through safely.

🇺🇸 Republicans in the US Congress threaten to block $350 billion for the Pentagon if Trump does not increase pressure on Russia, — The Hill.
Some Republicans are outraged by the permission to import Russian diesel and restrictions on Ukraine's use of American satellite systems.
22 members of Congress, including 5 Republicans, called on Trump to cancel the permission to import Russian energy resources and fully apply the sanctions under the Lindsey Graham law.
Congressman Don Bacon said that without a change in policy towards Russia, Republicans can block other legislative initiatives of Trump.

🚨 Russia is attacking Kyiv again tonight.
I was just walking home, approaching my building, when the explosions started.
Reports say, Russia launched eight missiles from two S-400 systems, targeting our energy infrastructure.
Ukrainian monitoring channels warn this may have been only the FIRST wave, with more missiles prepared.
