if you want to save money and reduce the long term sunk cost of pooling risk with other people, then raise the deductible and invest that amount so it's always there if you need to access it

Two years ago I was the biggest believer you have ever met. Rountripped everything. Never sold coins unless I really needed to or they were really overinflated shit.
Something about the amount of shit I got for roundtripping most of a public 7-fig pnl broke me. I thought people would love me for that, thats why I did it in 2024 too (on more money, but privately). I got more shit for roundtripping 7 figs than I have for any little quick trade.
I broke into ultra short term trading. I broke into buying multiple copies of a coin all the time (will still do this but much less). My system of belief broke.
But I think its coming back. I will never be able to believe like I did when I was a college kid with no real friends and interest in crypto stemming purely from the desire for a community and an interest in learning.
Im still very interested, I still (somehow) really enjoy a lot of the people here, but I do have a future and a family and some PTSD informing me to take more profits.
So... heres to finding an in between. A way to stay loyal but not in a way thats suicidal to my bottom line.
