GREETINGS ON THE OCCASION OF THE CORONATION OF HIS MAJESTY KING CHARLES III The Board of @IFNetUK has conveyed greetings to His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla on the occasion of the Coronation, saying: “We express our gratitude for your highlighting of the important role that the diverse cultures, traditions and beliefs of the faith communities play in the life of the UK and the Commonwealth and the active role that you take in fostering this. The Inter Faith Network links national faith community representative bodies, national, regional and local inter faith organisations and educational and academic bodies with an inter faith focus. It has worked with them since 1987 for inter faith understanding and cooperation in the UK. Your longstanding commitment to positive engagement between people of different faiths has been a continual encouragement to us. We pray for blessings on your Majesty and HM The Queen throughout your reign.” @RoyalFamily @luhc @DCMS @OneJainUK @SikhMessenger @UKBahaiOPA @buddhistsociety #Coronation #faith #interfaith

What a privilege to host an Iftar meal for Muslim friends at Lambeth Palace Library this week. It has been helpful to listen to the perspectives of a diversity of British Muslims about the challenges many are facing right now, including the persistence of anti-Muslim hatred.

Replying to @MINAB_UK
@MINAB_UK has held a number of meetings with Imams and other faith leaders since the appalling and vile act of burning the #Quran in #Sweden. # #MINAB strongly condemns the burning exercise and believes it to be a “disrespectful, disgraceful and Islamophobic act”.

During the visit to #Karbala, met with some scholars from #Shia community, esp. Sayed #Qazwini brothers. Shared some of the work @MINAB_UK is doing. Discussed that divisive views of extremists will only be defeated through religious leadership working together on communal issues.
