βI wonder if he was transparent concerning these links when he was posting and meeting with Congress?β
@FBI @FBIDirectorKash thoughts?
β¬οΈβ¬οΈβ¬οΈ
You know what's interesting!?
@Georgetown professor James/Jim Angel was a very vocal MMTLP / Next Bridge Hydrocarbons detractor and FINRA cheerleader after FINRA U3 halted trading in December 2022.
Nearly 4 years later Angel doesn't post and he's long been silenced since his link to one of the Market Makers that might've helped to get MMTLP tradeable was discovered.
Not to mention the fact that his program at Georgetown is linked to @FINRA, and he has patents relating to dark pools etc.
I wonder if he was transparent concerning these links when he was posting and meeting with Congress? @FBI
MMTLP Fair question!! β¬οΈβ¬οΈβ¬οΈ
βHow did they only discover an issue directly before planned MMTLP forced liquidations and Position Close Only Trading threatened the DTCC/NSCC?β
@TheJusticeDept care to answer?!?
The @SECGov met with FINRA's OTC Corporate Actions Team about the MMTLP Corporate Action before it was first published.
After it was published FINRA then met with the DTCC to discuss the matter without the issuer.
That led to FINRA unilaterally making a revision in the middle of the 12/8/22 trading day (12/8 became the final trading day).
FINRA, the SEC, and the DTCC all appear to have been involved, and they had two opportunities to get the MMTLP Corporate Action right.
How did they only discover an issue directly before planned MMTLP forced liquidations and Position Close Only Trading threatened the DTCC/NSCC? @TheJusticeDept
β¬οΈ MMTLP Read this and share your thoughts on these rat bastards π β¬οΈ
If the MMTLP spin-off would've went as planned, every holder of MMTLP would've received shares of Next Bridge Hydrocarbons, 1-for-1 for each share of MMTLP, on or after 12/14/22, after the close of business.
Even though there wasn't supposed to be an official cusip, what happens when a brokerage is allocated 1 million Next Bridge Hydrocarbons shares, but they actually need 2 million shares?
The problem is not as easy to hide in a scenario like this!
But if brokerages are told that the shares are getting cancelled and the trading symbol is being deleted effective 00:00:00 12/13/22, 40 hours before the planned 1-for-1 Exchange...
This allows each brokerage to create their own cusip/identifiers to exchange with MMTLP before what should've been the official 1-for-1 exchange. (images 1 & 2)
So when investors are holding MMTLPWB and MMTZZZ on 12/13/22, and being told by @RobinhoodApp and @WebullGlobal that those are official Next Bridge Hydrocarbons shares, it was a clearly a lie! (images 3 & 4)
What reinforces the fact that investors were lied to is that brokerages made it seem perfectly reasonable that investors could've received their Next Bridge Hydrocarbons shares on 12/13/22, but when the Next Bridge Hydrocarbons shares were officially allocated on 12/14/22, the multiple changes to the dummy cusip/identifiers didn't begin until around 12/30/22.
The video π₯ linked in the quote post explains how a similar situation from 2014 appears to explain how brokerages, regulators and their committee members use tactics like this to hide imbalances.
124,000 MMTLP investors frozen in time in what is likely THE most egregious financial crime in US history know a few things about the issues you address. And a LOT more. Are you familiar with our story?
Dear Secretary Bessent @SecScottBessent,
My name is Everett Stern. In 2010 I was a compliance officer at @HSBC. From a back office in New Castle, Delaware, I watched billions of dollars move to drug cartels, sanctioned regimes, and terrorist organizations. The enemies of the United States. I documented it, I escalated it, and when the bank would not act, I took it to the @FBI, the @CIA, and eventually the @SECGov.
The result was a $1.92 billion settlement. At the time, it was one of the largest in American history. It was also about five weeks of the bankβs profit. Not one banker was charged. Not one went to prison.
I paid a different price. I lost my career, my savings, and my place in the industry I had trained for. I was blacklisted. Every door in American finance closed at once. I slept on a camping cot in a 300 square foot apartment because I could not afford a bed, and I waited tables at @PFChangs to eat. I tell you this not for sympathy, but so you understand that I know exactly what it costs to do the right thing in American finance, and exactly how little the system does in return.
I made that sacrifice because I believed it would change something.
Yesterday, your department fined @BankofAmerica $1.2 billion for failing to report more than $5 billion in suspicious transactions, some of it tied by your own findings to Chinese laundering networks, narcotics, and the southwest border, alongside 475 apparent sanctions violations touching Russia, Iran, and global terrorism. The bank admitted it willfully violated the Bank Secrecy Act.
Fourteen years after HSBC. A bank with βAmericaβ in its name. And once again, not one individual charged.
Secretary Bessent, I want to say plainly what I believe you already know. The fines are not working.
A fine is paid by shareholders, absorbed by the balance sheet, and forgotten by the next earnings call. Bank of America reported earnings this morning. Nobody who set the alert thresholds, nobody who decided the 2024 cease and desist could wait, nobody who chose the backlog over the law will lose a single thing they value. Their lives are untouched. That is the entire reason the behavior repeats.
This is money laundering. This is blood money. Money that reaches a cartel buys fentanyl that kills Americans. Money that reaches a terrorist organization buys the next attack. This country has fought a war on drugs and a war on terror for decades, at enormous cost in lives and treasure, and all the while we have allowed the financing to flow through institutions we charter and regulate. Cut off the money and we win. We have never seriously tried.
There is also a question of equal justice that I cannot let go.
Before I walked into the FBI building to report HSBC, I stopped in front of the Great Seal on the wall and read the words engraved beneath it: βJustice is the defense of our liberty.β I believed that. I still want to. But every day in this country, people go to prison for crimes that are nothing next to moving money for the people who want Americans dead. A suit, a title, and a corporate badge should not be a shield from the consequences that apply to everyone else. If a street dealer goes to prison for what he sells, the banker who moved the cartelβs money should be standing next to him.
I also want to raise something that is rarely said in these conversations. Why has no one inside Bank of America come forward the way I did? The answer is that everyone in American banking knows what happened to me, and to the whistleblowers who came after. The last person who spoke up is the only policy anyone believes. That is a culture problem, and it starts with leadership, in the banks and in the agencies that regulate them.
This is not a political issue. It has spanned administrations of both parties. It is a national security issue, and I am asking you to treat it as one.
Three things would change the math overnight.
Refer individuals for criminal prosecution. Not the analyst in the queue. The executives who set the thresholds and chose the risk. One banker in handcuffs would do more than every fine in Treasuryβs history combined.
End βtoo big to jail.β An institution cannot be too big to fail and too big to jail at the same time. If it is the first, it must be held to a higher standard, not a lower one.
And if Bank of America will not act as Americaβs bank, review its charter. A national charter is a privilege granted on behalf of the American people. It should be conditioned on not moving money for the people trying to kill them.
Secretary Bessent, you said yesterday that these actions send a clear message that even the biggest institutions are not above the law. With respect, the institution was never the problem. The people inside it are above the law, and they know it. Until that changes, I will keep writing letters like this one, and the next bank will keep paying the next fine.
I gave up everything I had to stop this. I am asking you to use the power you have to finish it.
Respectfully,
Everett A. Stern

β¬οΈ A logical assessment of the FIF email re: MMTLP. Itβs clear whose side the βregulatorsβ are on. β¬οΈ
What stays with me about this email is how ordinary it is.
No threats. No scheme. Just a polite note from a trade group to three SEC officials on a Tuesday morning in September 2023, asking for a call about the Next Bridge S-1.
When there is no public process, access becomes the process. And access is not distributed the way risk is.
Roughly 124,000 people carried the risk in MMTLP. We had no trade association, no direct line, no Tuesday morning email that gets read. We had a halt, and then silence.
Markets run on the belief that the referee hears both sides. Reality tells us otherwise.
We are still here, still reading, still asking and we arenβt leaving until we get accountability.

Bringing up investigations into former CEOs is a distraction. It does not explain what happened to MMTLP shareholders or justify the lack of accountability.

Here is what Iβve learnedβ¦ the subject of MMTLP is being manipulated across their offices as βwe have to wait and see what the courts are doingβ therefore we cannot investigate.

MMTLP scandal summarized quickly & easily here β¬οΈβ¬οΈβ¬οΈ
To everyone asking βwhat the hell is MMTLP?β β this is the shortest sumary I could craft, as this is an extremely complex situation. Ok to add key details only to the string below. Thank you.
$MMTLP shares were a dividend that never should have traded. They did anyway β against the companyβs wishes. Regulators told the company to sit down and shut up.
Despite official PRs stating the exact day the stock would stop trading on the @OTCMarkets, @FINRA pulled a sudden U3 halt, froze every investorβs assets (including shorts), then deleted the ticker. This include international shareholders who have lost all confidence in US markets at this point.
Result: major discrepancy between shares sold and shares short.
β’ Company issued ~165.5M shares
β’ FINRA reported only ~2.65M short interest
β’ Brokers still show huge mismatches
Demand is simple: WHAT IS THE TRUE AUDITED, AGGREGATED, VALIDATED SHARE COUNT?
Almost 2,000 FOIAs filed with the SEC. Approval rate under 1%. Withheld records alleged to show collusion and weaponization around the U3 halt @SEC @FINRA. Brokers. Market makers. Multi-agencies are ALL culpable.
Thereβs a letter on President Trumpβs desk demanding a complete, audited, aggregated share count + full release of the FOIAs.
The buck stops with the @SEC - and they have failed US and international investors.
Day 1355 of the unprecedented U3 halt β 3.5 years of frozen assets.
More shares sold than the company ever issued.
Thousands of complaints ignored by every three letter agency you can think of and every single sitting member of Congress. They know. THEY ALL KNOW.
Active service members, veterans, disabled veterans, their families, and retirees are in deep despair. Some have lost everything. Some have taken their own lives because their assets have been locked up for 3.5 years.
We just want the truth. And the share count. And our damn FOIA's approved. It's not a difficult request, but it's difficult to find someone with the courage to fix this mess. We pray that @POTUS can help us. MMTLP π₯ McCabe π₯
Transcript of letter sent to @CHELLESHOCKEDTM from Next Bridge Hydrocarbons' CEO Greg McCabe, as read by Chelle on the space below....
"Nice to meet you, Michelle.
Thank you for your efforts in bringing attention to MMTLP and the horrible injustice impacting veterans, retirees, senior citizens, and all retail investors that put their faith in the American financial markets.
There appears to be some misunderstanding related to my support or lack thereof for the request to President Trump to sign a letter to the SEC demanding answers. Please see my position on this matter below.
Greg McCabe,
Chairman and CEO, Next Bridge Hydrocarbons.
While I have not seen the letter awaiting President Trump's signature, I am familiar with its contents and its message. Let me be clear, I fully support any and all efforts to bring transparency to MMTLP as well as FINRA's inexplicable U3 halt among an ocean of troubling questions, perhaps the most bewildering is this: Why have regulators charged with protecting retail investors devoted so much time, money and effort to keeping those very investors in the dark?
The simplest explanation may be that regulators are attempting to conceal their own regulatory missteps. Additionally, I can also almost wrap my head around the impulse of regulators to protect major financial institutions out of fear that the truth could expose the systems failure in the mechanics of the U.S. financial system.
But what I will never understand, accept or excuse, is regulators intentionally shielding and effectively aiding and abetting bad actors who exploit the US markets by illegally short selling shares they never owned nor borrowed.
Last month, President Trump said that he doesn't like short investors because they are betting against America. For worse, I submit that naked short sellers are stealing from America. Regulators should be exposing these criminals, not protecting them. It is indefensible. It is inexcusable. And the American people deserve the truth."
