I'm honored to be back in Annapolis for the 67th Mid-Atlantic Life Safety Conference! As modern fire service leaders, code officials, educators, and emergency managers, our challenge is clear: How do we meet this new frontier of public inquiry without getting overwhelmed? I'll be presenting "Hot Topics in Fire Safety: Navigating the New Frontier of Public Inquiry." In this session, we will explore how to move away from the frantic "heat" of common public safety anxieties and transition toward cooler, evidence-based, empowering solutions. We’ll look at the behavioral science of how people actually process risk, pull back the curtain on predatory product marketing, and build a practical toolkit you can take straight back to your departments tomorrow.
