It's actually going to be a cool World Series to watch...either you'll have a team that's never won or a team that hasn't won in almost 80 years hoisting trophy

Dear friends, during some recent medical examinations, the doctors found a small, localized nodule in my lung. It was detected at a very early stage and is well-localized. The doctors believe that it is best to intervene, so, following their advice, I have decided to undergo surgery to remove it. The operation is already scheduled to take place in the coming days. I thank you for your spiritual closeness and entrust myself to your prayers.

In a phone call yesterday, Jared Young opened up about the scary collision with Nolan McLean that ended his season.
Young is recovering at home in Phoenix while dealing with a concussion, whiplash and lingering hearing issues. He expects to be fully recovered by Spring Training.
“How quick baseball can turn into life, it was a scary thing, but it’s real. I cared about getting a hit that morning. I wanted to win that game, and I wanted to hit a home run and celebrate with my teammates. Very quickly did [that change to] I just wanted to get home.”
Young finished his breakout 2026 season hitting .266 with 9 HR and a .759 OPS.
“It’s part of the story. I’ve persevered through worse than this,” Young said.
He also made it clear he doesn’t want the collision to define his season:
“I’m proud of my season. I know there was more in there. I wish I could have shown that, but everyone’s going to say that, and it just gives you motivation for next year. I really don’t want to let this define the season that I had. … It’s part of the game, and it’s unfortunately somewhat what we signed up for. I just hope it never happens again.”

"In a marriage, you don't really want to stay with the partner that doesn't want you anymore and wants to move on. I didn't want to force them into 'I'm staying, so figure it out'"

What a long, strange trip it’s been.
And somehow, we saved the best for last.
