Michigan State and UMass both ran the exact same Philly Special attempt for a game-winning 2-point conversion and both failed badly.

Going live shortly. You had no problem moving the ball without gimmicks. That was an absolutely horrendous play call.

It's really kinda crazy how the exact same play was upheld as a touchdown for Nebraska. And that one was *overturned* into an incomplete pass for MSU.

MSU isn’t helping itself but I am now wholly convinced we are watching a fixed game after that call. No other way to explain that flag.

I have so much appreciation and respect for @coachfitz51 not just as a coach, but as a man and a leader. His passion, dedication, and genuine care for his players mean more than words can express. Thank you for the impact you make both on and off the field! 💚🤍 #SpartanFamily #MuchRespect

This was the scene of Michigan State coming off the field after the loss to Notre Dame.

Notre Dame is a top 3 team. I don’t think MSU will play anyone else this season that can do this. All in all? Not a bad overall night even though it’s frustrating still.

The box score doesn't show the shift, but the brand of football on the field does. Coach Fitz has this team playing with that Spartan identity again. Go Green Go White

Defined by their championship performances on the field and their transcendent impact on sport and society off the field, the 1965 and 1966 Michigan State Football teams will be immortalized outside of Spartan Stadium with an art installation. The announcement comes in the 60th anniversary season of the 1966 season, just days before Michigan State and Notre Dame meet 60 years after the Game of the Century. The project is scheduled to be dedicated in conjunction with the MSU-Notre Dame football game next fall in East Lansing.
