@MTechMusic deserves to win at least one Grammy, what he did to elevate the sound of this album is incredible
Sounwave on him and Kendrick Lamar paying homage to 2Pac on “GNX” by recreating the “Made N*ggaz” beat 🎧🔊
“That’s Pac. That’s Gang Related soundtrack. That’s a moment for us, and we didn’t want to mess it up. I knew we couldn’t just sample it.”
To pay proper respect to the original, Sounwave brought in bassist Noah Ehler and pianist ‘MTech’ to record new parts. “It started to feel more tailored to what we were going through.”

Sounwave, Jack Antonoff, and Mustard have all been collectively named 'Variety Hitmakers' Producers of the Year', for their work on Kendrick Lamar's 'GNX' 🔥
"Together, they helped craft one of the most singular and impactful rap albums in years."
🥇 Globally man. Just grateful for this gift of music in this lifetime & being able to speak a universal language. To every human ear, no matter the background, peace & love unto you 🙏🏾
