The selection of manager wasn’t the biggest problem this summer.
It was not meeting the expectations of leaders in the dressing room. Particularly Bruno, who turned down multi millions from Saudi on the promise that Utd would build to challenge for the title.
Those promises…
were made by Wilcox and they were broken.
Wilcox TBF was given a strict budget to adhere to and despite trying to work with Ratcliffe & Glazers he was told no.
Bruno’s been unhappy all season and when a manager loses his best player’s mindset then he’s in big trouble.
Morning @B_Fernandes8
Genuinely big thanks for everything you’ve given us over the last 7 years but come January 1st you can fuck off too.
At least Martinez has the bollocks to call out the real problems. You’re now acting like a selfish petulant child. Enjoy Saudi. 👍
🚨 Just now on @BBCMOTD
“BBC Sport understands tonight that the owners of the club are in discussion about Carrick’s future”
Disgraceful, Glazers & Ratcliffe formalising sacking Carrick tonight.
They should be formalising putting the club up for sale, absolutely shameless! 🚮
“You can’t really contemplate acquiring a brand like Manchester United and failing, because the failure is far too public and excruciating.”
Three years later, and it’s exactly that - public and excruciating.
What do you have to say, Jim? Care to explain yourself?
What is best for Man Utd (after they’ve given you marching orders) is for you @carras16 to come out and give the fans a full account of why they set you up for failure and the underlying rot that sets every manager up for failure by this disease of an ownership that must sell.
🚨🚨 When asked about if he’ll have conversations with the board about decisions:
Carrick: “I’ll always do what’s best for Manchester United.”

Red Army 68' 🇾🇪 retweeted
"Sell United and f*k off home" sing MUFC fans, the only good thing about the club right now.
And it's right. The Glazers have made their money many times over for 21 years. Fans never wanted it and that takeover should never have been allowed. Do the right thing: sell up and go.
Full time and all you can hear is Carrick’s name sung.
He will be no doubt sacked in the morning but we full well know the demise of this club is on the owners and only the fucking owners.
Widespread “SELL UNITED & FUCK OFF HOME” from every stand in the ground and most definitely worldwide too
Toxic.
Accountability starts from the top.
@INEOS and Glazers - Sell the club, you’re wrecked this place.
I see the East Stand £400 a seat (plus a drink at Victoria warehouse) the club touts aren’t selling very well…
Bruno & Cunha both dropped for challenging the manager on Wednesday.
Win or lose today, absolutely correct decision.
Fuck player power.
That documentary is going to be an all timer.
There are things Utd contractually will not be able to stop Amazon from publishing.
The Amazon All Or Nothing cameras seen following Carrick as he leaves the Press Conference yesterday. 👀🎥
