Imagine a European 348-satellite network in space. This is happening.
We concluded negotiations to move the IRIS² satellite constellation into full-scale deployment.
By 2029, it will provide secure, sovereign connectivity for emergency services and defence in the EU.
ALT A view of Europe illuminated at night from space against a starry sky. At the top, a satellite line-art icon emits signal waves over Earth. Text superimposed reads "Europe's future Connected by IRIS²", with the European Commission logo in the bottom right corner.
