Better sanitation means healthier communities and greater dignity for every household. Access to improved sanitation increased from 61.7% of households in 2002 to approximately 84% in 2025. Investments in sewer infrastructure, pump stations and wastewater systems are helping address backlogs and strengthen essential services. There is more work to do, but every improvement brings us closer to cleaner, healthier communities.
Better sanitation. Healthier lives. Stronger communities.
