Ultimate edge case that the Tesla Service is unable to answer.
I’m trying to outright purchase FSD before the deadline. But I can’t. My 2018 Model X 2.5 hardware must be upgraded first.
So I made that appointment the moment Tesla announced the February 14 deadline.
Only problem, the Fresno service center was so backed up the earliest appointment I could get was February 19th.
I got to thinking, is Tesla going to charge me all of the money for the full self driving and then not turn it on because it will be after the 14th? Subscription only?
The vehicle already has enhanced autopilot so I’m already $6000 into this.
Is there any Tesla employee that can help me find an answer to this question?
After I pay the rest of the money to get FSD, will I be the only person in America that has paid for it and won’t receive it?
I figured…why don’t I just pay now to make sure that I beat the deadline ; Unfortunately, they can’t charge me for the upgrade until the service is complete on changing the computer chip.
Help.
And now when I look at the app, it’s claiming that I’ll be eligible to subscribe instead of simply turning it on. That’s not what it said when I made my service appointment.

There are 2 types of people in the workplace.
Those that use AI, and those that are falling behind.
Hey Cybertruck fam! 🚀 After the recent holiday update on my Cyberbeast, I lost the cabin camera and all FSD functionality. Super annoying having to drive like a peasant, but Grok hooked me up with a fix: Reset the DAS system in Service Mode. Worked like a charm!
Quick how-to:
1Tap Controls > Driver Assistance.
2Enter Service Mode (you might need to authenticate).
3Select Reset DAS (Driver Assistance System).
4Reboot & test.
If it persists, schedule service. Who’s had this? #Cybertruck #TeslaFSD
So happy @altonbrown came to town more than 10 years ago. Geeked out meeting him, such an awesome fellow nerd!

This may be an embarrassing realization, but on our road trip my wife has sat in the back seat to entertain our two-month old.
She discovered that you can, in fact, connect AirPods/bluetooth headphones to the rear display to watch Netflix/YouTube/Hulu.
All without interrupting the front stereo!
Big day for Gilmore Girls streaming 😂😂
Bummer, my @bbqDripEz small bin fully separated from the cutting board after 6 months and less than 20 cooks. Contacted support and got nowhere. Can’t support a product with such a short expected lifespan. Anyone have any recommendations for alternatives? Buyer beware!

Did 11 Tesla Robotaxi rides today all around Austin with zero issues at all. Smooth as butter.
I am so grateful to the @teslasi team for the invite, you all did such an incredible job. History has been made.
Robotaxi is here, and it’s amazing. What a day. Can’t wait for more!
Replying to @teslaownersSV
@teslaownersSV I know there are some big brains in the Tesla community. I have asked @grok and am trying to ask Siri (via shortcuts) on my HomePod for the SoC of both my cars. “Hey siri, What are the cars at?” …. “X Tesla is at 40% and Y Tesla is at 60%” I have @Nikola_App and @StatsTeslaApp and would like to set the SoC as variables to read back. Anyone in the group use anything like this?
@StatsTeslaApp can to help? Pull SoC and let me set it as a variable? I would want the shortcut to wake both cars, grab SoC and set as a variable that Siri would read back so I know what car to plug in.

Tesla will change Supercharger pricing to be based on current utilization.
Previously, Supercharger pricing would vary based on the time of day.
The vehicle UI will display a 'Low Price' or 'High Price' and how the price compares to how busy the Supercharger normally is.

First reported Tesla vandalism in my area. No license plate shown. This was today. He pulls up in a Subaru and slashes a tire. Make him famous and find this scum.

Just a reminder, in the event of a collision you can request additional data from Tesla if assistance is needed.
You will receive a detailed vehicle data report including additional camera views (b-pillar/front wide angle). Thread below. 🧵
Instructions:
1. Inside your Tesla app, go to the menu.
2. Click on your profile.
3. Click Security & Privacy
4. Request Data
It can take up to 30 days to receive your report. I hope you never need to worry about this, but if you do, I hope this helps.

Vice President JD Vance has a powerful message for young men 🔥🔥
“My message to young men is don’t allow this broken culture to send you a message that you’re a bad person because you’re a man, because you like to tell a joke, because you like to have a beer with your friends, or because you’re competitive.
Our culture “wants to turn everybody, whether male or female, into androgynous idiots who think the same, talk the same, and act the same.”
“We actually think God made male and female for a purpose, and we want you guys to thrive as young men, and as young women. And we’re going to help with our public policy to make it possible to do that.”
Amen.
