wild,,, all this intellectualizing for something people got offended by for valid reason lol

nakakabanas yung paikot-ikot ung discourse kasi biglang may pag-mando kung pano dapat tumanggap ng kritisismo ang isang artist.
E NASAKTAN SILA EH!!! pwede ba yon??? ok lang ba masaktan??? godddd u must be sooooo miserable!!!!!!

andaming pataasan ng ihi na nangyari sa discourse na to tangina reference dito reference don!!! gets naman!!!! gow!!!! pero time and place. LUMUGAR SANA!!!!

a crowded art market is not a tasteless one; it's an open one. abundance is not the same as a lack of taste. craft and merch are not opposites--many of these are made carefully and in small amounts, unlike fast fashion. fine art is also trend-driven so that analogy doesn't work.

kung ayaw niyo maging “fast fashion” ang art sa mga art markets i-demanda niyo rin kaya for table fees to not be priced at 3-6k 🫠 the opportunity to sell your art now requires you to shell out a ridiculous amount of money that you’re not even sure you’ll get back!

Tag mo na lang kaya yung mga tinutukoy mo teh.
Anyway, putting food on the table is an intention. Kung purga ka na sa mga nasa Komiket, try the others. Or go to exhibits! Art fairs! I’m all for diversity, but maybe broaden your horizons as well kesa single out one org? 🤷♂️

with that, i hope artists can become more intentional on what they put out. sure, overlapping styles and themes can exist and it is still be valid but when there's a big amount of artists putting out similar art in different fonts, it becomes a trend.
what may look intention-less for u can mean the entire world for the artist (quoting oomf on this one)may lore yan may process yan of how they made the art…and being an artists is never linear .. you will keep experimenting even if youve already found your style ! kaya hat
everything has intention naman :-) an art that is imbued with gaining profit is still an intention in a very loose sense. everything an artist will do comes from intention.
