I’m grateful to have been mentored by the BEST! Coach Powell has been one of the biggest influences in my life. On and off the field, he’s someone I know I can always rely on. Whether it was needing gas when my car broke down in front of East High, or having a shoulder to lean on after hurting my knee at Oregon State, he was there. He shows up for his players ALWAYS. If you’re a D-End with the chance to play for Michigan, THIS IS YOUR GUY! He won’t tell you one thing and then give you something else. What you see is what you get! A GREAT coach who will develop you and love you like you’re his own! CONGRATULATIONS, Coach! No one deserves an opportunity like this more than you! Thank you for all you’ve poured into me and my teammates. The culture you set in our room and amongst the DLine will stick with me for the rest of my life. “The standard is the standard. All you gotta do is show up, give a damn, and then do it again the next day.” Ofa lahi atu, Coach. THANK YOU! #DCOCK
