I like that you can enter Romanian construction sites to check on the progress of your new build. Soft freedoms enabled by common sense and non litigious culture. You can also hire a technical inspector to come with you and provide an opinion on construction quality. A typical payment schedule looks like this: 5% reservation deposit and 10% notarized preliminary sales agreement 1-3 months later. Remaining 85% paid on completion in 1-2 years. This was a construction progress check before paying the 10%. If you seriously dispute the construction quality, my guess is that most major developers would just refund you the 5% and let you walk away. So effectively you have 1-3 months to make sure construction is progressing as planned before committing.
An example of how flexibility in Eastern Europe speeds things up. In most countries, you are only given access to your apartment once you have paid the full amount to the developer. In Romania, you can (informally) start furnishing your flat before handover, whilst the developer finishes off their part (flats in Romania are delievered in turnkey condition minus furniture). This is down to: - People prioritising common sense over stringent rules - Non litigious culture - Reasonably high trust society (construction workers have keys to your flat and in theory can steal your stuff)

Thank you, Europeans, for trusting China, but I want to tell you: Our intervention is useless, just like an egg—breaking open from the outside is food, breaking open from the inside is life. Transformation, rebirth, can only happen from within. Don't place your hope in the external, in the ballots. When you step beyond the ballots and believe that Europe's true master is your own strength and courage, everything will change. Keep going strong! 💪🇨🇳❤️🇪🇺 xitter.cf/Jueshengshenlan/status…

Serbia is China, Russia, North Korea and Iran’s strongest ally in Europe (alongside Belarus). Yet Serbia simultaneously manages to get pro NATO / MAGA Jews to shill for them. Truly incredible 🫡
Serbia is such a happy country under Aleksandar Vučić. This joy is contagious. We want to keep thriving. Conservative leadership is powerful leadership. Vote number 1!

The election has nothing to do with ‘keeping Serbia Christian’. Many if not most Serb nationalist have nothing against their Muslim minority and consider multi ethnic harmony somewhat of a Tito legacy.
Blessed to be in Serbia. Let’s keep it Christian☦️

Walked into a Bucharest cafe and the guy was suspiciously rude. Turns out it’s Israeli run place. Never been served a more watered down cold brew tonic. I deserve this for buying coffee that funds genocide. At least they are still resisting the EU’s plastic straw ban a few years in.
Hotels in a Bucharest reminding Israeli tourists that the towels and bathrobes were not promised to them 3000 years ago

Inaccurate map - inheritance tax is effectively 0% in Poland, Ukraine, Hungary and Bulgaria amongst close family members (spouse, parents, children). As is the case in most of CEE & CIS. You can't outsource CEE & CIS tax to ChatGPT due to nuance and complexity. E.g. Polish tax law states inheritance tax is 3-20%. But another law provides full exemption provided it is a close family member and reported within 6 months. Thus effectively everyone pays 0%.
This is the most important map for anyone who wants to leave wealth to their kids: Inheritance tax might be the most unfair tax on Earth. In some countries, over half of your wealth goes to the tax department, instead of your family. Top rates go up to: > Spain🇪🇸 87.6% (wtf) > France🇫🇷 60% > Germany🇩🇪 50% > UK🇬🇧 40% > USA🇺🇸 40% > Netherlands🇳🇱 40% Most people spend their whole life building something for their family. A house, a business, or just some savings. But when they pass away, the government steps in & wants their share. The usual argument is that it's unfair for kids to get money they didn't work for. But did the government work for it to claim that much? And it's not just affecting rich people by the way. In the Netherlands, your kids pay inheritance tax on everything above 25.000€. During our lifetime, we already pay: > Tax on everything we earn > Tax on everything we spend > Tax on everything we invest > Tax on everything we own And upon our death, they still want to tax whatever is left. But the worst part is this: The tax is often due within a short period of time. Let's look at an example: If you leave your child a 2.000.000€ family home in France, they now owe the government approx. 617.000€. And that's the lower rate for your own kids. Leave it to a partner you're not married to & it's 60%. Due within 6 months. Now. In some cases, there's not even enough liquid cash to pay the tax, so the heirs are forced to sell the house, just to pay the bill. Insane. In Cyprus🇨🇾, where I live, there is no inheritance tax. Meaning, while I build my wealth at the lowest legal tax rate possible, I will pass everything to my children, completely tax-free. Of course, Cyprus isn't the only option. As you can see on the map, a lot of the world is green. But if you want your kids to inherit more than a tax bill, you definitely shouldn't live in a red country.

In the coming decade, billions of white Parisians will re-migrate back to the Shanghai French Concession. By 2040, Shanghai will be more white than Paris.
Maybe this Chinese century thing is real and I shouldn't have sold my long China stocks. Western liberals started #ChinaMaxxing last year. And now these edits from Anglo 'far right' (recommend looking at the thread below, some gems). Maybe China and the collective West reverts to 'frenemey' status for the first time since the opium war. I.e. comparable power and mutual respect more or less.

If you are from any white country east of Germany - in China you are 'Russian'. Just go with it and you'll be treated well. Though if you're too Southern European / tanned, you become 'Arab'. xitter.cf/DevilSShadoW/status/21…
I've been contemplating moving to china, maybe Shenzen for a few years now. I don't know the language or how friendly the average chinaman is to a white devil like myself but cant be any worse than whatever the fuck's happening in the west right now

Quick way to estimate the median IQ of a country - visit several retail banks with slightly unusual queries and see how they handle it. Bank clerks are quite accurate representation of the 'median' person (very middle class job, neither stupid nor smart). Based on my recent visits to various Romanian banks, I'm glad to re-affirm Romania at low 90s median IQ (numeric) and mid 90s (verbal). In line with Balkans & Southern Europe. Rating outlook: stable
Brazil ranks very close to Romania in quality of governance. So why is Brazil 2x poorer than Romania? Romania's median IQ is 10 points higher than Brazil. Romania also has (per capita): - 4x more software engineers - 17x more chess grandmasters - 65x more international math olympiad winners Brazil (and LatAm's) fundamental problem isn't 'bad institutions' or 'socialism' - its low median IQ. You can substitute Brazil with any LatAm country and Romania with any Eastern European country and see the same.

I don't just mean this in a negative sense. Regardless of who is in charge - Brazil is the ONLY sovereign country in LatAm and one of the only sovereign countries in Global South. I respect them for that. The benefit of Bolsonaro winning is maybe I can visit Brazil without getting arrest for my tweets (yes, Lula does that).

Serbian President interviewed by a Russian train conductor. Reminded me that Russia didn't start going off track in Feb 2022 but rather in Jan 2021.
Former Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has told Russian journalist Ksenia Sobchak that a world war may be approaching as European countries dramatically increase military spending. “If you can’t see how Europe is rearming, then you’re simply pretending not to see it. And why is Europe rearming? What for?” He invoked Chekhov’s famous principle “if a gun is hanging on the wall in the first act, it will go off in the third.” “Look at how much the Scandinavian countries are investing, Sweden and all the others, they’re getting stronger and stronger, more and more powerful.” Asked whether he believed a world war would break out, Vučić replied “it will be a miracle if it doesn’t. I would be the happiest man alive if I were wrong. But I fear I’m not.”

More 'rule of law' = more rape and higher taxes? The definition of 'rule of law' has been completely rigged by Soros NGOs. It is rendered increasingly meaningless. Or perhaps meaningful - but as a counter signal.

If the government takes half of what you earn - shouldn't they at least make sure your women don't get raped? Or at least allow you to tweet about it when that happens, without arresting you?

I'm not joking when I say that Serbia & non-EU Balkans is the freest part of Europe and possibly the world. Where you can be as pro or anti zionism as you want. Pro Russia or pro Ukraine. Where you can support woke ideology and sodomy or be an Orthodox ethno-nationalist. Poland is high up there - but you can get arrested for 'holocaust denial', for being 'pro Russia' and liberals are trying to pass 'LGBT hate speech' laws too. In the US, 1st amendment on paper protects free speech but de facto you will lose your job, get de-banked and face serious social consequences if you speak up on certain topics in the US.

Litmus test on whether you are buying real estate in a functional State: do most local sellers insist on getting paid in cash? Vast majority of Eastern Europe doesn’t do this anymore. Even war time Ukraine. @Grok any CEE countries where cash is used for real estate transactions to the same level as Argentina?
