I think I moved to Texas at the exact right moment.

To all the homies: with today’s NFA news, Don't forget how hard SB Tactical has fought for gun owners. It takes something special to fight for our 2A rights when winning could work against your own business interests. That deserves respect, and our support.

An interesting angle as to why so many are unwilling to admit red dot sights are superior to iron sights. @bmitori
Your iron sights aren’t making you a better cop. They’re making your instructor’s job easier.
There’s a difference between teaching what’s familiar and teaching what actually improves performance.
If a red dot allows an officer to make better hits with less visual complexity, then “we’ve always taught irons” isn’t a training philosophy. It’s an excuse.
And if the only argument against changing the training is that the old way is easier to teach, maybe the problem isn’t the equipment.
Maybe it’s the instructor.

You know, shooting with night vision is just cool. Will I ever need it? Unlikely. Am I glad I have it? Oh yeah.

Not going to lie, when I got this email I assumed this was new marketing lingo along the lines of "Grip-Zone" based on SIG's "throw it at the wall" approach. The fact that it's just a spelling error was a secondary assumption which says a lot but is also somehow on brand.
I just want to say that if you have been following @tjmorris_bear for any amount of time or even my own channel over the years, a lot of what's being "reported on" right now is OLD NEWS.
I feel like Russell from ID4 lately. "I've been sayin it."
Found an old photo of my very first, California compliant AR-15 build from over 11 years ago. I absolutely hate it. If more of the country had to deal with this kind of bs, there would be way more support for groups like @GunOwners or @gunpolicy
When you're forced to create abominations, you start to take it more personally.

I have ruined my share of battle rifles over the years. You can't force them to be something they're not! Just enjoy what they bring to the table :)
@IWIUS GALIL ACE GEN 2 7.62 NATO is 🔥
(and probably the best battle rifle option right now)

So the Jordan Salinas interview with @GarandThumb1 was really interesting and encouraging. It was valuable insight from a regular guy being put into a terrible situation. I don't believe I have that same level of bravery but I was encouraged to be a better shooter after hearing about his experience.
The takeaway for me was, train more, improve your skills (shooting, first aid, situational awareness, etc) and remain humble. Proud of that guy and everyone else involved with saving lives that day.
Here's a link to the full interview. Worth a watch in my opinion: youtu.be/6d8urXdLBu8?si=i4CH…
I'm pretty sure it's normal for the upper to be the least expensive part...
