There is no acceptable outcome where Manchester United finishes today without a LB arriving. Even if they are prioritising for Lewis Hall in 2027, one has always needed to arrive even if it is a stopgap solution. It doesn't have to be a Luke Shaw successor, but it certainly needs to be worthy competition. The fans know this, everyone at the club has known this since the start of summer. Something has to get done. Makeshift plans is simply planning to fail.
