An open letter to Minister Anandasangaree demanding immediate, transparent action against IRGC networks and operatives in Canada.
Since the IRGC was listed as a terrorist entity, we expect unhindered follow-through. Canada must never become a safe haven for a hostile regime that exports state terror, human rights atrocities, and transnational repression.
We are urging the federal government to ensure:
- Unhinderered Investigations: Full political backing and resources for the RCMP and CSIS to aggressively dismantle these hostile networks.
- Accountability & Transparency: Strict admissibility enforcement, visa revocations, asset freezes, and prompt deportations for individuals linked to the IRGC.
- Protection of Dissidents: Active protection for Iranian-Canadians and activists facing intimidation, surveillance, and threats on Canadian soil.
Canada’s sovereignty and public safety depend on decisive leadership. Complacency is not an option.

I strongly condemn Prime Minister Mark Carney’s statement regarding Iran’s three islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb.
By endorsing the UAE’s territorial claims and referring to Iran’s presence on these islands as an “occupation,” Canada has taken an unacceptable position that disregards Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Canada should know better than to compromise the fundamental principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity for the sake of economic and political partnerships.
The three islands are an inseparable part of Iran. Iran’s territorial integrity is not negotiable.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s statement describing Iran’s sovereignty over Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa as an “occupation” is outrageous and deserves the strongest condemnation.
Iran’s presence and authority in the Persian Gulf go back more than 2,500 years, to the Achaemenid Empire. Historical records and maps, including British maps from 1886 and 1892, provide evidence of Iran’s historical ownership of these islands—long before the United Arab Emirates even existed.
The UAE was established on December 2, 1971. Iran’s history and territorial rights cannot simply be rewritten to accommodate today’s political or economic interests.
And let me be absolutely clear: Iran is not the Islamic Republic regime. Iran’s territorial integrity belongs to the Iranian nation, not to any government or political system. It is not up for negotiation.
As an Iranian, I find Prime Minister Carney’s statement historically irresponsible, deeply offensive, and utterly unacceptable.

We, the revolutionary people of Iran, in the middle of our fight against the Islamic Republic and the Lion and Sun Revolution led by Crown Prince @PahlaviReza , strongly condemn the joint statement from Ottawa and Abu Dhabi about the islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb and Lesser Tunb.
These three islands have belonged to Iran for a very long time. The story that they are “occupied” is made up and has no basis in fact.
The Iranian people are fighting with the Islamic Republic right now. We do not expect Canada to betray us. A country that claims to stand for freedom and human rights has no business siding with the Emirates, a country that has spent decades pushing propaganda to take Iranian land, without even looking at the history and the actual geography.
We want Canada to hear the voice of this revolution and the voice of the Iranian people who want the Islamic Republic gone. More than anything else, Canada should stand with the people of Iran and their revolution and respect Iran’s territorial integrity.
Instead of backing positions that hurt Iran and help the Islamic Republic, Canada should stand with the Iranian people. It should think about the opportunities that will exist after Iran is free, when it can work with a secular democratic government.
We Iranians are choosing our friends today. Canada can be an economic and political partner in a free Iran tomorrow, under a secular democratic government. The only condition is that right now, while we are fighting the Islamic Republic, it stands with the people of Iran, not with those who claim Iranian soil.

Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa were an inseparable part of Iran thousands of years before Canada or the UAE even existed on the map. Iran’s sovereignty over these Persian Gulf islands is absolute, eternal, and a non-negotiable red line for every Iranian.

Prime Minister, the claim that Iran “occupies” Abu Musa, Greater Tunb and Lesser Tunb overlooks a basic chronological fact. Iranian forces resumed administration of the islands on 30 November 1971. At that moment no United Arab Emirates existed; the federation was proclaimed only two days later, on 2 December 1971. Until then the relevant territories were the separate emirates of Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, still under British protection.
The islands have been under continuous Iranian administration ever since. They are an inseparable part of Iran’s territory. Canada’s endorsement of the UAE position compromises the principle of territorial integrity that Ottawa normally defends.
