8 weeks ago my heart stopped for 8 secs & I had to have a pacemaker fitted. ❤️
Yesterday I completed my 12th #LondonMarathon in 5:34:01 just by power walking.
It’s two hours off my PB, but as I was only allowed to start exercising two weeks ago I am so happy.

Congrats to Diana Codispoti who I met at the start of @LondonMarathon yesterday.
She was aiming to be the first person with dwarfism to complete #LondonMarathon and she smashed it in 7:26:22. 👏🏻🍾

I’m glad I decided to 100% walk the #virtuallondonmarathon yesterday. Here is my heart rate for the final 13:45km. Max HR should be 226-age and I’m quite a bit older than 25. #WeRunTogether
Half point via my watch. So glad I’m not running heart rate 170bpm. #virtuallondonmarathon #halfwaypointselfie
I completed 2011 @LondonMarathon in 3hrs 39. This was my training attempt last month. 27min jog/walk 9:35/km pace and and average HR of 187bpm. Not risking running my #virtuallondonmarathon today but I will be having a 26.2mile walk and hope I finish before the rain starts.

.@ziggibson reminded us at the @marathonmed that the #londonmarathon is only a race. If you come 20,000 or 30,000 makes no difference so if you feel dizzy slow down, stop, or even lie down with your feet elevated till you feel better. Your health is more important than finishing.
Great talk today by @ziggibson at the @marathonmed conference. I agree with him that if an athlete is so affected by heat and exhaustion they are crawling it’s time to withdraw them on medical grounds - elite or fun runners #itsonlyarace
