BioWare developed Baldur’s Gate but it was published by Interplay.
The current Enhanced Edition is published by Beamdog/Atari.
The original Xbox avatars are still available on the current system. They got rid of the "HD" ones but not the original versions.
Funny thing about the HD avatars, before Spencer greenlit Sea of Thieves , Rare was stuck making avatar clothing for those.
It looks like XBOX and @scottvanvliet have teased the possible return of the iconic XBOX 360 dashboards, including Blades and the iconic XBOX Avatar that we all obsessed over back in the day. 😮

Mass Effect was my first assignment at Xbox.
It was a first-party game and an Xbox exclusive.
I'd arrived near the end of a very long development cycle. My job was to make sure it landed well with retailers, critics, and fans. And it really did.
The relationship was over almost as soon as it began. EA acquired BioWare just weeks before Mass Effect shipped, and management of the title was handed over in 2008.
I got to visit BioWare's headquarters in Edmonton and see the shelves crammed with every kind of role-playing game imaginable. It was an old-school creative culture producing something the world had never seen, both technically and as a work of storytelling.
What Drew Karpyshyn achieved as a writer, and the team achieved as world-builders, has never been quite equaled.
I'm glad I got to be a small part of it, however briefly.

According to a Chinese local film critic who already saw a rough cut of Dune: Part III, this chapter is better than the first two movie combined.

Dragon Age: Inquisition sold over 12 million copies. Saying that IP has no value because Veilguard sold 1.5-2 million copies is like saying they never should have made God of War 2018 (23 million copies sold) because God of War: Ascension only sold 3 million.

Multiple valuable IP's? Like what....? Mass Effect? There's a good chance that after the trailer they released 6 years ago, the team has very little to show. EA, nor Bioware or any other business on the planet are not charities or adult day cares.

Finding myself genuinely upset about BioWare's closure. I just don't have the brain for capitalism because I can't understand how shutting down a studio with multiple valuable IPs is a better financial decision than selling that studio to someone else.

Honestly, Switch 2 is the best system Nintendo has ever made by a country mile. Not perfect, but no system is.
No need to buy a handheld & a console like before. Actual features like VC, Bluetooth etc & phenomenal backwards compatibility.
On top of consistent 1st party releases and solid 3rd party support.

33 years ago today, Homer Simpson ate 64 slices of American cheese in one sitting.
#TheSimpsons episode “Rosebud” first aired October 21, 1993.
When this app was new, a popular meme was to post a Photoshopped version of this image with an incorrect date claiming the current date was the one from the movie. It was so annoying.
October 21, 2015 is the date that they travel to in Back to the Future Part II. #80s That would now be 11 years ago.

But The Anti Keycard folks told me Keycards are not selling? That’s how you know this app is an echo chamber. Lol

It sucks that the Double Fine games are being removed from Game Pass.
Without those, Xbox owners can’t play three Lucasarts classics to see how fall Tim has fallen since those glory days.
Update: Another Double Fine game and two more titles have been added to the list of games leaving Xbox Game Pass soon ⤵️
