So sorry to hear of Brad's passing, fantastic colleague and all-around great guy. Our scientific community at Rowan and beyond will not be the same. Sending heartfelt condolences to his family.
What a joy to host amazing scientist and grad school friend @DrZoePhD yesterday! I forgot to take seminar pics so this was our impromptu snapshot after dinner. Wonderful to hear about the latest from her lab and to catch up, thanks for visiting @BehavioralRowan @RowanVirtuaSOM!
Congrats to all of the winners, well-deserved accolades and I am thrilled to see so many friends and colleagues among the awardees!

A simple thread here cannot do justice to the enormous role Klaus played in my development from undergraduate to Assistant Professor, and I will be forever grateful to him. Rest in peace.
He always had a big smile and heavy pat on the back ready for me when we crossed paths at conferences. His work heavily influenced my own scientific curiosities and lines of research, and his guidance helped steer my academic career.
Klaus would continue to serve as an important source of guidance for me over subsequent years, offering advice on graduate programs, doctoral mentors, postdoctoral mentors, and faculty positions. He was kind enough to lend his time as a co-mentor on my K99/R00 award.
As an undergrad at Tufts, I was fortunate enough to enroll in two of Klaus' courses and volunteer in his lab as a research assistant. When my graduation was approaching, Klaus reached out to colleagues at neighboring institutions to help find me a research tech position.
I'm deeply saddened to hear of Klaus' passing. His impacts on the fields of behavioral pharmacology, psychopharmacology, and neuroscience are well known. But I personally owe a great deal to him, and would not be where I am today without his mentorship. More below.
Klaus Miczek was a giant of Psychopharmacology: the field and the journal. R.I.P.
Here's an interview from 2022. He covers his transformative impact on the journal, evolution of the field, @PsychopharmEBPS v @npp_journal, writing/editing success, & more.

Happy to share an article that I co-wrote with @LowethJessica for @ConversationUS talking about sex differences and hormonal contributions to opioid misuse and relapse susceptibility, featuring some recent highlights from our labs.

It was such a treat to welcome my former postdoc advisor @LCneuroscience for a visit here at @RowanVirtuaSOM! He delivered an amazing seminar to a packed @BehavioralRowan house, and I finally got to show him the lab. Can't thank this guy enough for his guidance and support!
