Press Statement: @MapinduziKE strongly condemns William Ruto’s recent remarks that essentially ordered a crackdown on foreigners more so Burundians running small businesses in Kenya. We at Kongamano la Mapinduzi wish to make it clear that an African head of state should be uniting Africans, not turning African people against one another. We call upon African movements, traders' organisations, human rights defenders, students, workers, artists, journalists and progressive citizens across Kenya and the continent to reject Afro-phobia wherever it appears. #MapinduziKE

They keep saying #NairobiNiODM but during Baba’s era, Jacaranda Grounds would be full by now. The hard truth? Raila Odinga is gone and with Edwin Sifuna and Babu Owino leaning towards Linda Mwananchi, ODM Party is on its lala salama kicks. Ruto is now happy! #WeThePeopleKE

My travels this year have all come mostly squeezed in October and November. And for some reason those who have invited me and are paying for the tickets have all conspired to book my flights on @KenyaAirways! This is the first time in 3 years I have flown #KQ since they deliberately left my checked-in suitcase in Nairobi on a trip to Accra apparently because I had only one bag yet Nigerians and Ghanaians who pay for space travel with multiple luggage. I discovered that KQ then had a silent policy of transporting unpaid for luggage 3 days later. So I stopped taking their flights. And sometimes it was very inconvenient because of long layovers when taking other airlines, but we can't eat patriotism in the midst of incompetence. Lately I have heard positive reports that KQ had sorted their issues so I never protested being booked on their flights. But let me tell you Maina! My first flight early in early October was an hour late, the return flight half an hour late. Not too bad, I told myself. My second flight was rescheduled to 4 hours later but actually left 6 hours late, with the return flight 2 hours late on the schedule but ending up being 4 hours late. My third flight juzi was delayed for 2 hours, while the return was rescheduled to 4 hours later! Today I'm taking my fourth KQ flight in a month. It's again five hours late. Oh, and the return flight? It's been cancelled and pushed a day later. No explanation, no recourse apparently. Tujidishi! Well, clearly KQ is the shame of Africa! I'm done with them! #UshenziKE!

Kenya was once a safe haven for people seeking asylum, but ever since this government came to power, East African dictators have been working together to hunt down human rights defenders across borders, abduct them, jail them, torture them and even have them murdered. Twaha, a Tanzania HRD was abducted in Kenya and we don’t know where he is !

WCK engaged in community led social audit of women in mining in Nyarombo and Ndege Oriedo Sites in Migori. Despite making up over 60% of the workforce in artisanal mines, they constitute less than 1% of mine leadership and are excluded from resources and decision making.

Ruto now says that the opening match at the Raila Odinga stadium in Nairobi will be between the second teams of Bayern Munich @FCBayern and Ajax @AFCAjax . Bayern will receive €5 Million, and we can assume that Ajax will also receive the same amount(give or take). That totals to €10million (roughly 1.45 billion Kenyan shillings) to the two teams, plus additional expenses that will be incurred in organising the match. You will remember that the Kenyan national team, Harambee Stars, were on strike last month over unpaid allowances totaling to just over 6 million shillings (approximately €41,400). In June 2026, the same Harambee Stars were left stranded in a South African hotel after someone failed to clear their accommodation payment. My question this evening is: WHERE ARE OUR PRIORITIES? Why not use this huge amount of money that is today being thrown around to clear any outstanding player allowances? Or to develop grassroots structures across the federation? Why not have Harambee stars play the first match in the new stadium and open it for us, probably against another African national team, one of our local football clubs, or a football club from god-knows-where? Tuwache kutumia akili kama jug ya mate. Comrade President - 29 October 2026.

Instincts Nganya overturns killing 2 on the spot. Allegedly, the conductor was cut into two pieces. For that to happen, he must have been hanging on the door. Manyoka was also on show. We already called it out but NTSA decided to ignore because they earn the salary while we only earn followers...

This is something Kenyans must fully support! Why pay leaders hefty salaries if they cannot stand up for the people who elected them? We cannot continue spending billions on leaders who behave like puppets instead of representing the interests of Kenyans. PUNGUZA MISHAHARA! #WeThePeopleKE

Kizza Besigye’s saga between the courts, prison, and health facilities is still unfolding, but it is clear that at almost every stage the state has expected medical workers to put security concerns above medical priorities. Prisons staff have normalized being present during examinations, and demands for patient information are without regard for doctor – patient confidentiality. These might be considered small steps by some, but they are a slippery slope to disaster – for vulnerable patients in custody, and for health workers who have to live with the knowledge that they could have done better for their patients. University lecturers in Kenya’s public universities have been on strike since 2 October 2026 - and this has effectively disrupted learning for over 700,000 students. Ruto lies. This is a fact. His government is not interested in fixing the grievances of the lecturers, but will instead aggravate the situation even further despite the fact that professors/lecturers need to clothe and feed their families. The only solution is to abolish Ruto and his system of lies! To our lecturers, stay marching and striking, for you ask for nothing but the worth of your labour! To our students, stay marching and striking - extend unconditional solidarity to our lecturers! Solidarity forever! Comrade President - 28 October 2026. #UASU #LecturersStrike #UniversityAcademicStaffUnion
