The controversial label has been SCRAPPED from the latest summit declaration! Why? The status has no legal definition in EU treaties. Now we’re left with “ever closer association,” with the details still to be negotiated. WHO AUTHORIZED THIS EUROPEAN EXPERIMENT WITH CANADA’S FUTURE? Overnight, Germany, France, and Italy stepped in to completely block the "associate membership" wording from the joint statement. Why? Because leadership literally made up a fake title that doesn't exist anywhere in treaties, leaving international diplomats completely baffled. But don't worry, the narrative from the top is that "names don't matter." Right! Who cares about the fine print when backroom policies tie local rules straight to Brussels without a single public vote?
