This gigarandom, arguing with someone who is quite directly involved with the tier 2 scene, believes that they have found the answer to all of NA's continuing failure. Our players are just genetically worse than eastern players. No, it's not the fact that our tier 2 scene was half-assed and used as an excuse rather than a proper pipeline for years. It's not that we recycled tier 1 players into it on inflated salaries for years, taking up valuable space that new talents could develop in. It's not that we had every possible scandal under the sun because of shitty orgs, shitty to's, and awful riot handling. It's not that our entire approach to the game is 2d and completely seen through by every other region and has been for years. It's surely not any of those things or the fact that the east have or had proper development pipelines to ACTUALLY raise their talents and USED their talents to great effect and didnt just throw them out if their first split wasn't perfect.

Lyon cementing themselves as a potential man team. They flunked out of LCS finals. They come into worlds and demolish a minor region, they get a shaky win against KC, and then they just disappear. They *almost* beat GenG but their drafts lose them the series. They *almost* beat IG but their drafts lose them the series. Now going into 2-2 it's do or die. At this point it's a gamble which player is in form or out of form on the day. Dhokla looked shaky against Geng, this series it was Inspired looking like he was lost. We're picking ticking time bombs in game 3 drafts where we need 5k advantages by 15 minutes or we just lose the game and then flunking our early game playmaking. We're handing enemy laners their SIGNATURE champions in decider games. It's no longer a question of can we have the conversation, its a fact.
