Praying this burns bright.
Just saw the first 17 minutes of THE FURTHER MIS-ADVENTURES OF CLIFF BOOTH at #AFIFEST
Can’t give away plot details other than it featured the shots below but what I can say is I think David Fincher directing a Quentin Tarantino screenplay is going to be one hell of a good time

The “Out of Time” sequence in ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD (2019) feels like a love letter to a Los Angeles that exists only in memory.
A bomb? What are we doing?
@diggerthemovie is the best film I’ve seen since Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. It’s as if Tarantino, Birdman and Wes Anderson wildly banged.
@TomCruise might have just unfurled his best work.

Wanted to sleep on it, but after going back and rewatching the game last night after getting home — I think we might've been watching something last night.

Danny DeVito says he gave Quentin Tarantino final cut on Pulp Fiction with a handshake, then kept his word after people walked out of a test screening
"Final Cut is like gold."
"It's not going to be on paper."
"20 people walked out of the movie."
"Nobody ever changed a thing."
Plenty of producers would have started trimming the second people headed for the exits. DeVito held the power, let a young filmmaker with one movie behind him keep his cut, and that version became Pulp Fiction. A promise made with no contract is the kind that tells you who someone is.

From yesterday, on the end of the Chris Ballard era.
The quotes that aged poorly. The moves that busted. The promise that never delivered 👇🏼
A sorry era for this franchise is over, one that became mind-numbingly stale and sucked the life out of the fanbase.
Chris Ballard's tenure started with promise. In the end, it never delivered.

An incredible, messy beauty.
Aaron Sorkin's infamous Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip debuted 20 years ago this fall. I talked with a group of contemporary comedy writers about why the show didn't work, but also why they're still obsessed with it: whatsalanwatching.com/anatom…
